D'eon and Cody nodded, the doctor deciding it best to carry on with the battle. "Cody, I need you to help guide the wounded back. Take over my position for awhile."
"But I don't-"
"You'll find a way." D'eon assured Cody before he could protest. His brother knew very little about medicine, but he knew enough to get them safely back to the circus. D'eon moved ahead a bit, standing near Facilier as he crossed his arms. "I'll come in case anyone gets badly wounded, but I can't promise I'll fight. I might be too busy." He reminded the ring master.
Gia looked to the others, smiling when she saw D'eon. She felt a twinge of pain that he didn't recognize her, but she was in a different body after all. D'eon had looked around for her for a bit, perhaps in the confusion giving up? She shook her head, staying close to Gunmax, or at least as close as she could without interrupting their planning. "I will go." She assured them, mostly because she couldn't imagine waiting at the circus without knowing how they were doing. She didn't want Gunmax to play hero either.

Shen stuck close to any who were in need of healing. He had a feeling they might need him. And after figuring out what some of them had been put through before being rescued, he knew he was right in believing so. "I can be of help to any who need medical attention." he announced. The phoenix would help those who were hurt, so the others helping wouldn't be overwhelmed.

Maria managed to crack half a smile at Facilier's joke. She was starting to see how so many of these enchanteds gravitated towards this man; he was quite charismatic...though not entirely irresistible.
"We'll need a minute to reprogram the Insta-Porter," Maria said with a light sigh, "Gun-Max?"
"He'll be there in a minute," Alpha-7 called out as she beckoned Gun-Max and Hulk towards her.
The looks on both their faces seemed solemn as they walked up to Alpha-7, who looked back at them with the same look.
"I realize this isn't the first time we've had to split up," Alpha-7 said, "and normally, I'd just tell you two try not to rough the bad guys up too much. But...I'm afraid this is far different from our other missions. The stakes are much higher, now. If we fail here, the whole world will likely pay for our mistakes. There's no telling what kinds of horrors GLaDOS is planning, and I'd prefer not to have to find out. So, when I say we can't mess this up, I mean that we can't afford to let her get out into the world, no matter what. That said-."
"You also want us to make sure we don't kill ourselves," Gun-Max interrupted, "right?"
"I mean it this time, Max," Alpha-7 said in a sterner voice, "you two are all the family I have. You're...you're my brothers. If I ever lost either of you..."
"No worries," Hulk responded, lightly pounding his chest, "Team-X unstoppable, remember?"
At this, Alpha-7 managed a smile, her eyes lightly welling up.
Gun-Max then walked over to Alpha-7, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry, sis. We're all coming out of this in one piece."
Alpha-7 said nothing, but nodded in affirmation of Gun-Max's confidence. She placed her metal hand on Gun-Max's hand, squeezing it tight. She then reached out for Hulk, who took her hand in his own. She then took in a shaky breath as she looked at both her closest friends.
"Be safe," Alpha-7 said finally, and pulled away to join the group of cirque members who'd be following her through the testing track. Gun-Max stared after her for a brief moment, then turned towards Maria, and the rescue team.
Alpha-7 then caught sight of Haruhi and Konata. Konata appeared to be getting better, though here legs still appeared wobbly. Haruhi looked as though she were ready to collapse. It was obvious which group they'd be traveling with.
"Looks like you two are coming with us," Alpha-7 said, patting both of them on the shoulders.
"Haru-chan just explained everything to me," Konata said, looking at Alpha-7 with worried eyes, "is GLaDOS really-?"
"I'm afraid so," Alpha-7 answered hastily.
Konata looked down, her face slightly more pale than before, "Just like T2: Judgement Day."
Haruhi remained silent, her head dropping down to hide her eyes behind her bangs.
Alpha-7 wasn't sure if she'd be able to comfort them at the moment, but now wasn't the time to worry too much about it. There were people relying on them now, and they had to act fast.
"To everybody who's following me," Alpha-7 called out towards the escaping cirque members, "I suggest you stay close to me. The old testing tracks can be a bit treacherous."

Back with the rescue team, Gun-Max had little trouble redirecting the Insta-Porter's destination.
"Okay, here's the plan," Maria said, turning to Facilier, "we're going to teleport into the main hanger area. About three floors down is the main power core. Once we make it there, assuming GLaDOS as beaten my computer virus, we force a complete power core shutdown. GLaDOS will have no choice but to come down herself to fix the problem. Once she get's there, we can ambush her, and take her down in once swoop."
"Sounds simple enough," Gun-Max said optimistically.
"I wouldn't be too sure," Captain America said cautiously, "the simplest plans usually are the most likely to go awry."
"I'm afraid it's the best we can manage," Maria said with a shrug, "I'm just making this up as I go."
"I find those kinds of plans are the best kind," Gun-Max said jokingly as he finished his adjustments to the Insta-Porter, "ready?"
Maria waited until the entire group was gathered, then gave the nod to Gun-Max. He pressed the button on the orb, and the group was surrounded by another flash of blue white light as they were teleported out of the cavern. In an instant, the group found themselves inside another large room, this one occupied with 7 jets of different sizes and designs.
"C'mon," Maria said as she marched towards a set of doors at the far end of the hangar bay, "we've got work to do."

Esmeralda only had time to share a brief smile with her father before he hurried off with the rest of the rescue team. She let out a slow breath. She had to believe they would be okay. If she worried too much about them, she wasn't sure if she would be able to function. She was already having a hard enough time using her magic. Why couldn't she be like Raven? Her friend had probably suffered just as much as she had, and she was going to fight. No, don't. Stop right there. Anymore thinking like that and you're going to break down. You have to stay calm. She swallowed, leaning into Aladdin's arms, hoping that they would be enough to keep her sane.
Facilier bit his lip. He was worried about his daughter. But he knew he couldn't look after her now. He would have to trust Aladdin, Alpha-7, and whoever else was there to look after her. He had to agree with Gun-Max though. The plan was simple. But he liked it that way. It left less room for mistakes. Heck, the mission here had been pretty simple. Get in, get the captured circus members, get out. Of course, there were a lot of details going into that plan, but still. At least they were on the whole "getting out" part, even if they still had GLaDOS to finish off first. Maria managed to teleport them easily. The room was thankfully free of robots, although Facilier was sure they would have to fight their fair share before the day was over. "Alright. Let's do this," he said, cracking his knuckles.

((I think it might be best to just go on as is. If activity drops too low, there's always the option of finishing up this plot as a fanfic instead of an RP thread.))

As Alpha-7 led her group up the metal stairs towards the Aperture Science building, she felt a strange mixture of emotions wash over her. She had many memories about this place, some of them good, but most of them bad. She wasn't too fond of returning here, especially after recalling the different experiments that used to be performed behind those walls. Still, she had to help the cirque members with her to escape. She just hoped they didn't think too harshly of her for being a former employee to this place.
The automatic doors slowly creaked as they opened for Alpha-7's group. The doors lead to the Lobby, which was a long room with a faded red carpet leading towards a set of double doors at the end. The sides of the room contained old chairs and tables, with the walls adorned with the pictures of different prominent scientists from throughout history. At the end of the hall was an even larger painting of a smiling elderly gentleman, with the plate underneath reading, "Cave Johnson, CEO of Aperture Science".
As soon as the group entered the lobby, another message was heard playing on speakers inside the lobby:
"There are hundreds of tests performed at our facility, every single day. I can't oversee all of them, so I've made these prerecorded messages to help answer any questions you may have during the course of your science adventure. That being said, I'd like to take this moment to answer some pressing questions probably on your minds at the moment. 'Exactly how difficult are these tests? What was in that phone book of a contract you made me sign? Am I in danger?' Let me answer those questions with a question: who wants to make 60 bucks? Cash. You can also rest for up to 30 minutes in one of our waiting rooms, which are a heck of a lot more comfortable than those sidewalks you were sleeping on when we found you. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask Caroline, or any of the other test associates who'll be monitoring your progress. Now, for those of you who signed up for our basic testing package, just follow Caroline down the hall with the blue line, and she'll tell you where you've been assigned. For those of you who signed up for our super package, where you get injected with insect DNA for 90 dollars, I've got some good news and some bad news. Bad news is we're suspending those tests indefinitely. Good news is we've got an even better test for you: fighting an army of bug men. Pick up a rifle, and go down the hall with the yellow line. You'll know when the test starts."
Both Haruhi and Konata exchanged horrified looks as they followed Alpha-7 through the double doors, and down the hall with the blue line. They both then looked warily down the opposite hall with they yellow line, half expecting some deformed bug monster to appear and chase after them.
"Don't worry," Alpha-7 said calmly, "there aren't anymore bug men down here."

In the Hangar Bay, Maria turned to Facilier to explain her plan, while Hulk worked to open the double doors at the other end, "Now, if we're going to stop GLaDOS, we need to get to the Power Core in the engineering area that's three floors down from here. Right now, the only thing keeping GLaDOS from gaining full access to the facility is the virus program I activated earlier. It won't be long before she purges the virus from Strato-Form's systems, and reboots the entire building. Before that happens, we need to ensure the power core is taken completely offline, thus keeping the entire building in the dark. Once she figures out what's happening, she'll have no choice but to come down to the power core, and try to fix the problem herself. That's when we jump her, and take her down. Any questions?"
A sudden thud was heard behind Maria, and she turned to find Hulk giving her the thumbs up, and the automatic doors now forced open.
"Alright, let's get moving," Maria said with a nod.
Both Captain America and Gun-Max took point, checking the hallways to make sure there weren't any enemy drones ahead of them. For now, the halls appeared empty, with no chance of an attack from the drones or any cy-bugs. Still, they had no time to dilly-dally. Maria tapped Gun-Max and Captain America on the shoulders, and led her team down one of the halls at a jogging pace.

Esmeralda got worried for a second. Would they have to fight more robots? There weren't exactly many people in the group who could fight at this point. But luckily, Alpha-7 said that there weren't any robots down here, which made Esmeralda sigh in relief. She had had enough of fighting for a long time.
Maria's plan seemed simple to understand. Mess with the power core, wait for GLaDOS to come down to try and fix it, kick her butt, then waltz out of here. Facilier hoped it would stay that simple. The last thing they needed was some over-complicated plan. He nodded at Maria before turning to the others. "Stay together guys. I don't want any of you wandering off and getting lost."

(( With the full time schedule, as well as a commission for four costumes, I've not been able to keep up. I am switching my schedule so will have more time next week, but this week is packed, sorry. ))
D'eon followed the rescue team, staying in the back. He was powerful, yes, but he desired to look out for the others rather than be on the front lines. If he were to get wounded or killed, not only would he require blood, but he would be useless to help the others. He looked behind him, wondering how Cody was, and where Gia had gone. The cat woman from before smelled like her, but he wondered what had happened. Did they experiment on her? He tried to focus his thoughts on something else.

((I think if all the people who volunteered to go with the others is done, we should continue a new thread OR have inakomoto writing a fanfic. Because honestly, I think we should start a new one as we are wrapping up the rescue.))
