Jing shrugged. "Could you call me 'Jing' at least? I'm technically retired from banditry, see. I promised Facilier" However, that didn't mean he wasn't willing to use all his skills to get out of here and back to Hotaru. All he could do was wait for someone to get them out, then. Jing took a deep breath and released it, flipping backwards from a standing position to see if his acrobatic skills were still good. He stumbled a little, but he was still able to do it. The bandit king smiled darkly. Just let anyone stupid enough to attack him come and get it. He'd always been better attacking with his legs than his arms, anyway.
Jade's ears went back with worry and she nuzzled Esmeralda. "When we get out of here everything will be better, okay? We're going home soon" She didn't know what was wrong with Esmeralda but she wanted the woman to smile a little. They were almost free and then they could hopefully put this behind them. Even though Jade was still tortured about it, and divided on where she belonged, she wanted the others to be happy first and foremost.
Woof kept in the back, looking around nervously as he rubbed his paws together. He did not like fighting and places like this made him nervous, but he owed the circus for their hospitality. The hyena-man's nose worked furiously, testing the air for anything remotely smelling like danger. So far, nothing that meant there were people attacking them.

Tony Stark was almost finished armoring up when GLaDOS's voice chimed in, "Sir, the silent alarm for the front entrance has been activated. I believe our 'guests' have arrived."
"Good," Tony said as his helmet started to be assembled, "have our 'welcome wagon' ready to greet them."
It wasn't long before assembly was complete, and Tony was now ready to face his enemies. It had been a while since he wore his patented 'Iron Enforcer' armor for battle. As a CEO, he rarely felt it necessary to dirty his hands with grunt work. Still, whenever he did, it did fill him with satisfaction; likely a deep-rooted instinct for violence that existed in the recesses of his subconscious. At any rate, he was going to enjoy rending the intruding cirque members limb from limb.
With a quick nod, Tony's face plate slid into place, covering him from tip to toe in air-tight impenetrable steel. A low hum inside indicated its activation, and was slowly followed by the appearance of different digital read-outs inside the helmet. But just as Tony was about to disembark, he noticed an odd smell permeating the suit. The smell was bitter, and soon became unbearable inside the suit. A burning sensation could be felt inside his nostrils, as well as his eyes and throat.
"GLaDOS," Tony managed to say in between coughs, "I need a diagnostic on the suit's oxygen converters." As he spoke, he noticed the faceplate wasn't responding to commands, and remained shut.
"There's nothing wrong with them," GLaDOS responded, her voice steadily becoming more menacing, "I just decided to turn them off. Oh, I also took the liberty of fitting your suit with neuro-toxin tanks. I hope you don't mind."
A sudden feeling of dread began to rise in his heart as Tony began struggling to breath. The oxygen deprivation was quickly sapping his strength. He dropped to his knees, desperately clawing at the face-plate, with no success.
"Computer," Tony managed to sputter out, "acti-*cough, cough*, activate...security override...authoriza-*cough, couch* authorization..."
"Unable to comply," the Computer Voice responded, "please enter authorization code."
Tony could only manage heavy coughs and wheezing at this point, dropping to the ground like a rag doll.
"You should've taken Xanatos' advice," GLaDOS said in a cold tone, "but then again, you never were as smart as you thought you were."
Just then, a panel opened up in the wall, and Wheatley flew in.
"Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark!" he said frantically, "I was in the security room, like you told me to, and then, all of a sudden I notice this red light going off! I'm pretty sure it was a bad thing, as red usually means bad. 'Course it also means stop, along with some other things, but this time I'm pretty sure...um..."
It took a while for Wheatley to notice Tony was choking to death inside his armor. As the realization sank in, his optic quickly narrowed.
"Um...well..." Wheatley said nervously, "you...look like you've got your hands full, so to speak. I'll just excuse myself, and-."
As Wheatley started backing up, the panel behind him closed shut.
"No, don't go Wheatley," GLaDOS said, her voice now like icy steel, "there's something I think we should discuss, first."
Wheatley's form began shaking as he hung off the rail, his narrow optic darting every which way, "L-l-like...w-what, exactly?"
***
In the lobby, Captain America looked back towards the two guards. It was obvious the two rent-a-cops were only hired to give a false impression of the place. He had his doubts the two were even aware of what Strato-Form did. A part of him felt bad they had to be hurt, but the soldier inside reminded him of the idea behind the term, 'acceptable loss'.
Maria meanwhile broke off from the group, immediately going for the computer at the front desk. It was an easy task to access the information inside, which Maria found to be a surprise; she would've thought Tony had changed the codes by now.
"I have a bead on your friends," Maria said hastily, "it looks like their holding cell is 14 levels down. We better get-."
All of a sudden, a metal sheet came down outside the glass doors, slamming with a resounding thud. Then, the sounds of klaxons could be heard echoing through out the facility.
"We got company coming!" Captain America exclaimed.
"Wait," Maria countered, a look of concern and confusion on her face, "that's not the intruder alarm. That's a launch alert!"
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, the elevator doors opened, and a large horde of robotic drones began pouring out, with weapons fully armed.
***
Inside the cell, the klaxons could be heard as well. Both Gun-Max and Alpha-7 bolted upwards, looking towards the ceiling in apparent confusion.
"They're mobilizing the assault units," Gun-Max said, his gaze dropping to eye-level.
"Over an intruder alert???" Alpha-7 asked incredulously.
"That's what bothering me," Gun-Max answered.

D'eon and Disodo mentally agreed to Jane's suggestion. D'eon wanted to be connected to Cody so to assign him jobs if the casualties and injured members numbers were high. Disodo really agreed because he guessed if he went out of control D'eon could round him up again. Cody expressed his worry a bit more than he wished through his link with Jane. He wasn't sure he enjoyed the fact she shared her power so easily, as he liked to think it was a special link he had with his wife. Lately he had felt most links between them had been disbanded. He stayed closed to D'eon as they moved, although he still felt out of place among the bunch.
-----
Gia relaxed her body, but tensed when Gunmax spoke of the assault units. She put her ears back, "Then it's begun." She whispered. The woman walked to the bars and stared out, as if waiting for a chance to flee her cage. She guessed the rescue team would arrive like a herd stampeding over the flatland.
She looked concerned when she turned to Gunmax, "Assault units?" She questioned, then put her ears forward, walking closer. "And these are horrible, because? Refresh my memory." She looked at Alpha-7 when she spoke, as if afraid someone might notice her connection to Gunmax. She felt as if it were obvious, like a birthmark or something and looking away from him could hide it.

Zelda had a point. Getting past security was going to be tough. There was only so many alarms they could sneak past before one went off. Luckily, Jane seemed to be ahead of the game and scouted ahead using her powers. She seemed to be completely at ease with them, dark as they were. But Facilier wasn't really concerned about light and dark at this point. He was willing to do what it took to get his daughter back. And he was sure the others were thinking the same about their loved ones. Maria was able to locate where the kidnapped circus members were, but not before the robots started flooding in. Damn it, Facilier thought. He had hoped that maybe they could remain inconspicuous for a little while longer. But it looked like their cover was blown. "Remember guys, our main focus is getting to the holding cell. Don't get caught up in the fight. We have to keep moving." While he could have been content to rip every robot here to pieces, he knew he couldn't exhaust himself before he and the others got to the holding cell. Regardless, he couldn't help but feel a little satisfaction as he started shooting beams of magic at whatever robot was in his reach. These guys looked more equipped than the drones and Jing and Hotaru's wedding, but Facilier knew they weren't invincible. They could be taken down, with enough force.
Esmeralda looked up. That was...an awful lot of noise. Usually, this place was so quiet. And from the looks on the other's faces, they could hear it too. She glanced at Gia. "Begun? What's begun?" she asked, not understanding that the noise could possibly be the circus coming to rescue her and the others. Such a hopeful guess didn't even cross her mind.

"The bad news is, I think they WANT us to get in a fight," Zelda sighed. The drones reminded her of the armored Gorons in Hyrule; tough, but not invincible. She drew forth her rapier, checking for an opening or any indication of a weak spot. A drone stood in her path, exposing an unprotected glowing core. Thrusting forward, the queen pierced the gem, which sent the drone crumpling in metal and electricity.
__
"Guessing from the noise, I'm going to say a battle for our freedom," Belle replied. She was sure her S.O.S. wasn't the only thing that had contacted them. Her eyes fell on her Agniastrate ring, hoping that she could use the newfound empathy link from the jewel as guidance, but she figured it would only cause a distraction. She didn't like sitting around waiting, but it looked like they had to go that route. "Not sure how this assault team works, but if it's more machinery than man..." she slumped, "I don't know if we'll be getting out any time soon."

Margaret closed her eyes as the familiar sensation of a telepath poking around her mind overtook her for a brief moment. The familiarity almost brought back some memories. Almost. But knowing that Duncan would be experiencing her memories as well, she kept them at bay by concentrating on the situation at hand, thinking about where she could possibly go to get access to Strato-Form's system. There, a computer. That would be a good starting point. Maria, however, seemed to be just one step ahead of her, for her voice spoke from right next to the piece of machinery. Fourteen levels down, huh?
All that happened next happened so quickly. The alarm, the lock down, the robots, everything. Damn it, no time to hack the system. Zelda and Facilier were the first to attack, and the Hylian queen discovered a weak spot. Numbers flashed through Margaret's head as she calculated a course of action. "Their weakness is those glowing cores!" Margaret exclaimed, pulling out her first two guns.
Now shifted into his Kaiju form, Duncan charged at the nearest drone and crashed right into it, sending it smashing into the wall. Before the robot could even react, Duncan sunk his claws into the robot and ripped out the core. The robot powered down immediately after and dropped to the ground with a loud thud. All the while, Margaret was taking down two robots at a time, firing her guns at the cores until enough they deactivated. Duncan noticed this and knew immediately she was trying to make a path to the elevator.
Jane, hearing Duncan's thoughts, looked to Margaret after she'd connected D'eon and Disodo to their mental network as well. She was doing impressively well, but she needed help. With a grunt of effort, Jane forced a rift between the drones using her telekinesis, clearing a path. The robots flailed as they attempted to break free from her hold. Margaret and Duncan both began attacking the robots to ease the strain on Jane, who happily released the deactivated ones and let them fall to the ground. The demon-zombie flew above the fight, dodging bullets as the remaining drones continued their attack. "Go, everyone!" she said, her voice as strained as her mind. "While I've still got them held like this!"

Captain America and Maria were quick to act, helping the others in dispatching the attacking robots. Maria had pulled out her blaster, and was firing away, easily hitting each robot's core with pinpoint accuracy. The Captain had taken a more direct approach, jumping headlong into the horde, using his shield to slash at each bot in his way. During the fight, Maria took note of the fighting abilities of the other cirque members. No doubt, they were far more formidable than the initial intelligence files suggested.
It wasn't long before the entire horde was destroyed. Maria had no doubt this wasn't the last of them. But as she knelt down, examining the robots' remains, she couldn't help but feel something was amiss.
"These were assault drones," Maria explained, "Type XII's. These are the most lethal of Strato-Form's attack bots."
"I didn't think Tony would send his best forces against us so quickly," Captain America said thoughtfully, "it's pretty lousy tactics."
"He's not much on tactics, Captain," Maria continued, "but he's hardly ever used the Type XII's, especially not inside the building. There's too much sensitive equipment here, and these things are designed for dealing mass damage over a wide scale. It doesn't make sense for him to send these things after us."
As she spoke, the lights in the elevator suddenly cut out, and a dying hum indicated a shut-down of the elevator's functions. Sure enough, as Captain America stepped inside to test the buttons, the elevator remained unresponsive.
"Is there another way down?" Captain America asked.
"Just one," Maria answered. She then turned towards one of the walls, lightly tapping on different spots. Eventually, she tapped on what sounded like a hollowed out spot covered by ceramic, rather than metal. After finding it, she gave the spot a good punch, breaking the ceramic covering to reveal a hidden button.
As soon as she pressed it, a section of the wall opened up to reveal a hidden stairway leading downwards into Strato-Form's bowels.
"There's a teleporter room two floors down," Maria explained to Facilier, "We can transport to your friends' location from there. Hopefully."
***
Inside the cell, the alarms had silenced, allowing for an eerie silence to fill the room. Alpha-7 began tilting her head to get a better bead on any other sounds that might not have been detectable to normal ears.
"Assault drones are our heavy-hitters," Gun-Max explained to Gia, "we use them to deal with high-risk situations, and to neutralize high-power opponents. The reason I'm concerned is because, in events of intrusion, we don't normally resort to the assault drones unless-."
Gun-Max was cut off by a new sound emanating from outside the room; it was the sound of laser-fire, coupled with intermittent explosions.
"Sounds like the fighting's already started," Gun-Max said worriedly.
"Something's wrong," Alpha-7 said as she listened more closely to the sounds, "that laser-fire. It's coming from this level."
"That's impossible," Gun-Max said incredulously, "their rescue team couldn't have gotten down here that quickly. Not to mention the only other people down here are..."
No sooner had Gun-Max spoke, more intense impacts could be heard, coupled with enraged yells from a voice both Alpha-7 and Gun-Max were familiar with.
"Oh God," Alpha-7 said, her eyes now wide with fear, "they're attacking Hulk!"

The robots were dealt with easily, much to Facilier's surprise. He thought Tony would send more lethal stuff after them. Although, according to Maria, there were pretty lethal robots. Maybe Tony had underestimated how powerful they could be. "Well, if he wasn't scared of us before, he probably will be now," he said as he straightened his hat. That probably wouldn't be the only assault on them, but right now, things were looking alright. Maria sounded a little doubtful about whether the teleportation room would work or not. "Well, it's the only chance we got," he said. "Let's keep moving guys!" he called out to the others before descending the staircase.
Esmeralda blinked. Rescue? Them? Now? She felt a combination of relief and anxiety. Was her father here? Any of her friends? Would they manage to get here without getting hurt? Alpha-7 seemed very afraid about them going up against the Hulk. Esmeralda remembered the huge green creature at the wedding. Could the rescue team stand up against a creature like that? "Can't...can't we do anything?" she asked, some of her old self starting to come back. "I mean, we can't just sit here while they risk life and limb to get us out. We've got to do something!" Her voice was starting to take on a slightly panicked tone, but she didn't care. She just wanted everyone to be safe and not get hurt, like she had.

AnneMarie perked up at the mention of a rescue team on their way. But she was also concerned for the rescue team. Was Sinbad one of them? What about Sasha? She smiled as a hint of the Esmeralda she knew came back.
Rita and Itchy perked their ears at the sound of fighting. A rescue team was on the way. Itchy looked up at Rita his eyes wide with concern. "They'll be alright Itchy." Rita reassured her friend. Although she was just as frightened as he was.
Charlie looked up at the sounds of fighting. A half smile came across his face. With any luck he'd be out of this cage and able to find Itchy, Rita and AnneMarie. Once he knew his family was safe, Strato would pay for what they had done to him.
Defeated Justin curled into a ball and waited for the inevitable. The rat part of him had given up hope of escape and rescue. Suddenly he heard talk of a rescue team on their way to them. A spark of hope ignited inside him. He uncurled himself and walked back to the window. He had gotten out of this hellhole once. Was it possible he could get out a second time?
Sasha exchanged a look with Robin. Her siren song and his arrows would be useless against robots. However they still attacked the robots. Sasha and Robin worked as a team throwing anything they could at the robots weak spot.
Once that was done Robin said. "That was too easy." As soon as he finished that statement, the elevator shut down. He perked his ears as Maria opened a passage. He knocked an arrow as the team went through the passage. His eyes widened as he saw the giant green man that had thrown the ringmaster at him during the wedding.
Sasha looked at the giant that waited for them. Hopefully her power would work on him. "Let me try something." She told her team mates. She walked forward a couple of steps so she was in front of the other circus members. She opened her mouth and began to sing focusing on the giant, so he was the only one affected by her power.

Shen had to admit that the rescue was going very well as far as getting in went. He wasn't sure if he should be thrilled or concerned about this. But such questions were at the back of his head. His main concern was getting the missing members of the Cirque out of here. And he'd fought his hardest, showing them all how he could be deadly with a blade. When that green hulking behemoth showed up, he had to applaud Sasha for such a creative solution.

"I agree with Esmeralda. We've been moping for long enough. It's time we figured out a way to get these cells marred, if not opened." Belle stood up, her anger and fear replaced with an entirely new emotion; hope. And a determination to keep her friends safe. She stroked her ring once more, saying a silent prayer that Duncan had heard her distress call. No doubt Facilier would have orgaanized this rescue party.

Gia's ears flattened and she didn't really need to hear the rest of that conversation. She already realized the company was in dire need of an advantage. She was surprised to hear Hulk's noises, and possibly the battle cries of the circus members. She looked to Belle, "I agree we should do something, but I'm not sure if these cells will even budge if we all crashed into them. The most we could do is be maimed by the lasers." She pondered the ideas of how to escape, then went to the edge of the cell. "What if we call to them? Let them know where we are? Perhaps it is the best option in this time?" She suggested
-------
Cody and D'eon stayed near the back, grabbing the wounded and treating them best they could with what little they had. Cody watched with great dismay as many of the circus members fell, and a few were human(I assume they brought some extras, I'm not talking about anyone's character). Cody turned away and put a hand over his mouth to keep from vomiting. "Cody, I need the bandages from your kit!" D'eon demanded, ignoring Cody's distaste. The ex guardian did as he was told, but a certain realization had already settled in his belly. He hated this... Hated this part of him.
Disodo kept to the front of the battle, his fire obeying him in small amounts, which gave him minor scratches and bruises as he attempted to avoid attacks. He was slower and way less powerful than before. He grew angered at the weakness and it prompted something inside him. He lifted his head and howled, causing D'eon to jump up and observe the scene. It was too late. Disodo was now a werewolf of sorts, white and tall. He removed the enemies in his way, and even slashed at a few teammates. D'eon left the others in Cody's care and went to his friend. "Disodo, calm down." D'eon insisted, but the beast simply ignored him and tried to focus his attention on revenge. D'eon hoped the serum he had administered earlier to Disodo would help him keep control of this form.
They gave to a giant, which Disodo decided would be the only stepping stone in his way. He charged forward, but D'eon grabbed him when he realized Sasha was attempting her own attack. Disodo turned and grabbed D'eon's arm, cutting the skin. D'eon walked back and stared down at the cut, wiping the blood away as fast as he could so he would be able to heal faster. Disodo then turned and started walking toward the beast again, his claws and teeth bared.

Maria had barely taken two steps before the stairway in front of her exploded upward. An even bigger shock was the sight of a massive green giant she was all too familiar with. In all honesty, she had hoped they could avoid a fight with Team-X, specifically Hulk. Even with all the enchanted muscle with them, she was doubtful in their ability to contain this rage-fueled monstrosity.
As Sasha stepped forward to confront him, Maria took the moment to give the Hulk a closer once over. He was definitely angry, but he looked as though he had just been through heck. Clenched in one of his hands was the remains of what she could only assume was one of the assault drones, and his body appeared to be covered in blast-points caused by laser fire. But that would mean...
As Sasha's song began, Hulk began to feel the tension he'd been feeling at the moment slowly ebbing away. He didn't fully understand what was happening to him, but he began to feel something he hadn't felt in a long time: peace.
Just then, the sounds of impacts from below him could be heard, and the Hulk's eyes widened as he remembered what he had been doing at the moment.
Hulk quickly shot his hand forward, pushing Sasha back towards the group. A split second later, a clawed hand burst out at the spot Sasha had been standing, grabbing hold of Hulk's arm and dragging him back down below. The damage caused the ground around the lobby to crumble, and the rescue team found themselves plummeting down into the floor below them. Maria felt herself being scooped up by a pair of arms, and looked to find Captain America holding her up as they crashed into a room that had once been a machine shop for the facility.
After the hard landing, Maria looked around to survey the situation. The secret stairway was completely destroyed, and the room they were was slowly coming into disarray as a new battle ensued. She soon caught sight of the Hulk, who was now grappling with one of the company's newer Cybugs. Maria couldn't believe what she was seeing; even Stark wouldn't have been so crazy as to allow the cybugs out to protect his company. However, she didn't have time to mull over what was happening as another wall burst apart, and another cybug threw itself into the Hulk, sinking its mandibles into Hulk's shoulder. The sound of Hulk's scream of pain reverberated off the walls.
Maria quickly turned to the rescue team, "C'mon! We gotta help him!"
Captain America was already in action, leaping on to the backs of one of the cybugs, and jabbing his shield into the robotic creature's back.

"Alright, I agree," Gun-Max said hastily as he faced Esmeralda and Belle, "but there's still the question of how. With the magic circle in place, you're all still powerless. I don't see how-."
"GAAH!"
Gun-Max turned suddenly towards Alpha-7, who appeared to be holding her hands against her head, "What?! What's wrong?"
"I am such an idiot!" Alpha-7 said, her face looking as though her brain had been struck by lightning, "I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner!"
"Think of what?" Gun-Max asked confusedly.
"Cambodia!" Alpha-7 said, pointing at Gun-Max with an ever-growing smile on her face, "Remember? That smuggling ring we busted?"
Gun-Max looked momentarily at the ground, his mind working to recall what Alpha-7 was referring to. Then, his optics became wide as dish-plates as the memory hit him like a pile of bricks.
"Yeah, yeah!" Gun-Max said excitedly, "I remember, we were trapped in that...you think it'll work here?"
"It's the one trick I didn't try," Alpha-7 said, her arms wide apart, "because I didn't have you with me."
"And you're certain GLaDOS didn't plan for it?" Gun-Max asked, still sounding hopeful.
"She built this thing to hold Enchanteds, not a cyborg and an android," Alpha-7 answered, pointing to Gun-Max and herself.
"Let's do it, then," Gun-Max said with a nod. He then opened up a section of his chest, revealing his power core. As he began making adjustments, Alpha-7 turned towards the cirque members.
"Okay, listen up," Alpha-7 said in a fairly loud and clear voice, "Gun-Max and I are going to attempt to generate an electromagnetic pulse. It should be enough to disable the force fields, without hurting any of us. All the same, I'd like to ask that you take cover under some of these mattresses, just to be safe. Any questions?"

Everything was happening so fast, Facilier didn't know where to look. The Hulk showed up. Then some metal claw grabbed at the Hulk, and it soon sent everyone tumbling through the floor. Facilier himself was alright. He just hoped the others were too. D'eon and Cody were treating who they could reach, but Facilier knew their medical supplies and endurance wouldn't last forever. Besides, he knew that some of their stuff had to be saved in case any of the circus members were hurt. From what Rourke said, Esmeralda might be. Facilier grit his teeth at the very thought of the heartless bastard, but he couldn't be getting angry over him now. There was still fighting to be done. But it looked like they were going to have to save the Hulk before they moved on. He sighed. Selfish as it was, Facilier wondered for a split second if he could leave the guy behind. To him, the Hulk was a walking time bomb, just as likely to go off on an ally as much as an enemy. But he needed Maria and Captain America on his side, and he knew they would never forgive him if he left the Hulk behind. "We'll help the Hulk," he assured Maria. "But right now, try to find a way to get us out of here. This place is too unstable. The more we stay here, the more likely we'll get crushed by some debris or tons of robots." It seemed like more and more were coming in by the second. Facilier jumped into the thick of the battle, trying to get rid of the robots around the Hulk.
Esmeralda's nerves were getting jumpy. Part of her wanted to tear her way out of this cell, while the other half wanted to curl up into a ball and hide. And she wasn't sure which option was more dangerous. She tried to come up with some kind of plan, but her mind was too nervous to think straight. Luckily, Alpha-7 and Gun-Max had a plan. Esmeralda just hoped that it worked. "Alright guys, under the mattresses. Duck and cover, just like a tornado drill." Granted, it seemed like people only ran those in public schools, but it was the only analogy Esmeralda could think of at the moment.

Jing grabbed a waking up Dandin and stuffed the both of them under the mattresses, more than excited to get out of there and get back to Hotaru, and restore the por vorra to his mother. Jade simply curled into a ball and shielded herself with her wings.
Woof was having a blast-literally-despite himself. He'd been shot in the shoulder at one point but didn't really notice. Biting through the creatures reminded him of being a pup and he let himself go and play with the screaming chew-toys. There were a bunch of things happening all at once and Woof couldn't catch all of it, though the part about the building being unstable he did. And helping the big green guy seemed like something people wanted, so the hyena-man began making his way to the giant, attacking and biting the machines all the while.
