To Jane's struggling mind, it seemed like forever before the drones were defeated. It felt as if they were being taken down only one at a time, like everything was in slow motion and yet happening so fast all at once. When the last robot was finally taken down, Jane let out a cry and released her hold upon them. The entire metallic horde dropped to the ground, whatever simulation of life within them extinguished as the crackles of electricity faded away. Now that her mind wasn't under the immense strain of such mass use of her telekinesis, Jane realized she was feeling the slightest bit dizzy... and thirsty. She shook it off. This was not the time to be thinking of her thirst. She had to press on.
The giant green monster that she could only assume was the Hulk appeared. Jane raised her hands, ready to launch a robot or two in his direction if he attacked. However, he actually began to calm down, and, to her surprise, even pushed Sasha out of harm's way. The metallic claw that snatched Hulk the very next second did some collateral damage. The floor crumbled beneath the team's feet. The very first thing Jane did was reach her hands out to Cody, D'eon and the injured circus members to stop them from falling. She gritted her teeth as her head throbbed from the strain, but pushed on. She lowered herself and the ones she had in her mental grip to the floor below, setting them down as gently as possible. Okay. Deep breath. She would be alright.
Margaret and Duncan wasted no time. If helping the Hulk was what it took to get to the captives, they'd do it. Duncan charged at a cybug, letting out a fierce snarl as he ripped into the machine and tore it practically in half. Deciding a new weapon was best for the situation, Margaret reached to her back and unsheathed a sword. "Duncan, fire!" she exclaimed, throwing the sword to her son. Duncan caught the familiar weapon, took a deep breath, then released a concentrated breathe of fire onto the metal. heating it to white-hot within seconds. Margaret took the sword back and charged as well, slicing through as many cybugs as she could.

It didn't take long for the attacking cybugs to be brought down. Thanks to the cirque members, they received enough damage for Hulk to fight them off, and obliterate them in one blow. Still, the damage they dealt was severe, even for him. He dropped to one knee, his face contorted in pain, as blood dripped out from the numerous cuts and bites in his flesh.
Captain America rushed to his side, "You okay, big guy?"
Hulk answered in between breaths, "Hulk...really...hate...bugs."
"Can't say I blame you," Captain responded, looking down at the pummeled cybugs.
Meanwhile, Maria was looking about herself. Facilier had a point: the area they were in was very unstable, and due to collapse at any moment. They had to find a stable footing, and soon. All of a sudden, Maria caught sight of a set of double-doors leading to another room across from them. The sign above the doors read, "Portal-Generating Device Testing Track". That gave her an idea.
"This way," Maria called out, leading the group through the double doors.
"Wait," Captain America called out hastily, pointing towards Hulk, "he needs medical attention!"
"Hulk...fine," Hulk said as he hobbled in the direction Maria was headed. He tried to look healthy, but he couldn't help but wince with every step he took.

Inside the holding cell, Alpha-7 nodded in affirmation as the cirque members took cover underneath the various mattresses; hopefully, it would serve as protection enough against the EMP. She then turned towards Gun-Max, who had just finished making the modifications to his power core.
"You ready," Alpha-7 asked.
"Just about," Gun-Max said as he finished reconnecting the last wires, "you know, it just occurred to me that the last time we tried this, we both wound up with damaged circuits."
"And that's we both got lead shielding for those circuits, remember?" Alpha-7 noted.
Gun-Max thought a moment, then nodded in agreement. With his modifications complete, he then lowered his hands to his sides, his features becoming more rigid as he braced for what was to follow.
"Let's do this," Gun-Max said after taking a couple of deep breaths.
Alpha-7 nodded, and stuck her metal arm inside Gun-Max's chest, her had resting around his power core. Her other hand clenched into a fist, and her eyes closed tightly as she sent the command into her metal parts to activate the electric surge in her metal arm.
What followed was a brief crackle of electricity, leading to a massive boom from inside Gun-Max's chest as the EMP was activated. The shockwave shot outward, and immediately caused sparks to begin flying out from the frame of the force-fields. After a couple seconds of this, the hum of the force-fields quickly died down, and the fields themselves fizzled into nothingness.
Just as she opened her eyes to see the result of their stunt, Gun-Max lurched right into her, his body feeling slightly limp.
"Max?" Alpha-7 asked worriedly, "are you okay?"
"Sure," Gun-Max responded in a tired voice, "just...a little sleepy, that's all..."
"C'mon," Alpha-7 said, hefting her friend up as she slung his arm over her shoulders, "let's get you plugged in."

Facilier had to keep telling himself that they were doing okay. The Hulk was the only one who seemed to be hurting badly right now. Everyone else was still on their feet and had little to no injuries. It looked like Captain America was going to take the huge green guy along. But he was still badly hurt. Injuries like that would slow the group down. But Facilier knew that nobody was about to leave him behind. "D'eon, Cody, see if you can patch up the Hulk a bit. We need to move as fast as possible," he said. Next to Aidan, D'eon was the best healer in the circus. Even if he couldn't get rid of all the Hulk's injuries, he might be able to do enough to have him move a little faster. "Let's stay together guys! As long as we're in a big group, they'll have a hard time trying to pick us off." That was all the advice he had time to give before he hurried after Maria.
The explosion was loud enough to bring down the force fields. It looked like the group could actually get out of here. Esmeralda felt her knees go weak with relief. But Gun-Max didn't look so good. Alpha-7 seemed determined to take care of her. Esmeralda found herself caught, not sure what to do. Would Gun-Max and Alpha-7 want them to go on without them? Or should they stay and try to help?

The giant green beast who had attacked had endured much pain through the endeavors. Zelda opened her mouth to volunteer to stay behind and heal, but then stopped herself. The people running the facility no doubt knew their healing better. But when Facilier hired Cody and D'eon to stay behind, her heart fell a bit. Facilier didn't trust her enough to have her help? But instead of taking it personally, she nodded. "I agree! And no one make any suggestions about splitting up into smaller groups! That will give us more trouble than we want."
"A portal testing room?" Moses arched his eyebrow in concern. Technology could be a dangerous usage, especially after the Cy-bug invasion. "Tell me you have a backup in case of an emergency. I mean, what if there were more Cy-Bugs or...whatever those things were." His staff had been powered to the point of nearly bursting. If the magic was unhinged, the staff would be rendered useless.
"It's the only plan we've got." The older gargoyle stretched his arm. In the ensuing battle, her had reverted to the brown, scaly bestial form that was beneath his gruff, old man demeanor. "If we are to find our loved ones." A cautious eye looked over at their allies. "I may be askin' te much, but...what do ye know of David Xanatos?"
_________ Belle was about to ask about the circuitry being safe, but it looked like it would have to wait. She had crouched with the others behind the mattress fort, praying it would go okay. The only noise in the room, except for Belle's heart pounding in her ears, was the electric fusing down. The little test worked, meaning the others could go. She patted Esmeralda with a smile of relief before looking back over at Alpha-7 and Gun-Max. "Will you two be all right?" she asked. "Or should someone from our group stay with you?"

The leopard watched with great worry at their plan, hesitating before finally joining the others in a safer place. Her ears fell against her head as she wondered if the plan would work or not. Gia jumped at the charge, not because it scared her, but because she dreaded what might happen to Gunmax. She rushed over, taking his other arm, not even bothering to look at Alpha-7. "Why do our encounters always end in one of us getting banged up." She wondered, putting her hand on his chest to help support him.
--------
D'eon rushed over to Hulk, checking him over rather quickly, before handing him a vile from his belt that was filled with blood. "It's for our more extreme cases, but I feel we are going to need you. Drink it, my blood has special healing properties and has not been known to produce side effects." He assured the man, then looked to Cody who stayed a bit away from the fray.
"Cody, help me out." He demanded, taking Hulk's arm as he used his strength to help support him. Cody came over and grabbed the other side, using all his strength to help, but it didn't account for much compared to d'eon.

Raven had heard the emotions and commotions as she looked up her big purple eyes looking around; she felt..strange..she felt.. hope. ..she felt the magic in her hands tingling and it seemed to be sparkling visibly, she'd smirk in the shadows as she did her form's eyes grinned. ..slowly she was gathering power again, and she smiled" I think I have a better idea.''After all of Raven's silence, and non-participance.. well she was ready to participate it seemed. ..and healthy enough, as her cloak seemed to return to its normal blue, her eyes glowed she'd smile more now. "It feels good to be me again.''she'd say softly stepping out of the shadows."Let me try some-thing Esme, Belle.''

Quasimodo looked around as he, in his lion form had managed to catch up to Facilier; same for Starfire - "Everyone is alright and void of the injury?" asked Starfire towards Facilier- her red red hair billowing in the air behind her. "We need to get in contact with Esmerelda some how Facilier.. can you do some like..mind magic for her mind and yours? I read in your books a telepathic link is best for a family traited member.'' he'd say softly transforming into his human form now.

Hulk looked down at Deon and Cody as they came to his side. A look of surprise was evident on his face as he took the vial from Deon. He wasn't used to people helping him without hesitation. To his knowledge, Alpha-7 was the only one who was ever unconditionally nice to him. For these people to treat him as though he were...normal; it was refreshing to him. After a brief pause, Hulk nodded in gratitude as he emptied the contents of the vial in one gulp. Almost immediately, he felt his injuries begin to mend themselves, and he soon felt more able to walk on his own.
Maria pushed to two doors open and rushed into the new room. The doors lead to a balcony, with white tiles along the floor and three walls, and directly in front of her was a large, glass window. Beyond the window was the Portal Device Testing Track, a massive chamber stretching upwards and downwards for what seemed like miles, filled with platforms and obstacles of varying size and angles. The room the group currently inhabited was undoubtedly the research area, where the scientists watched from a safe distance as test subjects made their way through the treacherous course. As she looked about, Maria noticed a device on one wall, designed to act as a portal-generating entryway. And on the other wall hung three of Strato-Form's portal devices: they had the appearance of strange-looking space guns, but Maria was more than familiar with their true purpose. She walked over and plucked one off the wall; she recalled once calling these things more of Tony's silly little toys. Now, it was time to see how these things held up.
Captain America looked around a bit, a look of uncertainty plain as day on his face, "What now?"
Maria didn't answer at first. Instead, she walked over to the wall with the larger portal generator, and activated a control on the side of the apparatus. The machine hummed to life, and created a large circle of pulsating orange energy. She then walked over to the window, and gave it a good kick, shattering the glass completely.
The Captain looked worriedly over at Maria, "What are you doing?"
"Be back in a minute," Maria said simply. She then turned towards the opening she made, and jumped off the edge, into the testing track.
"Maria!" Captain America said suddenly. As he rushed to the edge, he heard what sounded like breaking glass coming from the testing track. He looked over the ledge, but could find no site of her. As he began to fear the worst, he then noticed something odd, two of the platforms had portals on them, and he couldn't be sure if they were their before.
Before he had time to ponder it further, a pulsing noise could be heard from the machine Maria had activated earlier, and the orange energy was quickly replaced with another portal, one that lead to a room very similar to the room the rescue team was occupying. Standing in the middle of the portal's entryway...was Maria, casually brushing tiny shards of broken glass from her hair.
"What're you yahoos waiting for?" Maria asked, "Let's keep moving."

Alpha-7 led Gun-Max and Gia towards the computer console near the cell, setting him down in the station's seat.
Gun-Max couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he responded to Gia's comment, "Just lucky, I guess."
Alpha-7 turned towards Belle as she pulled a charging cord out from Gun-Max's waist, and inserted it into a socket on the computer station, "Sorry, Miss Belle, but you need us. You may be formidable on your own, but you have no idea what's waiting for you beyond those doors. Max and I are coming with you. And don't worry, he'll be fine in a couple of-."
Before she could continue, the sounds of laser fire could be heard again, this time steadily getting closer to the holding cell. Alpha-7 turned towards the door, her eyes steely as she expected the worst.
Just then, the doors flew open. Instead of robots, it was revealed to be Haruhi, looking disheveled and frantic as bolts of laser energy bounced off an unseen psychic shield. She was carrying Konata on her back, who appeared to be hanging limp and still as Haruhi stumbled inside. Almost immediately after the doors closed behind her, Alpha-7 rushed over to the controls for the door. She hastily input a command into the door controls, and in response, a second door covered over the first door, followed by the clicking sounds of unseen locking mechanisms.
Alpha-7 then rushed over to Haruhi and Konata, who had collapsed onto the floor, "Haruhi! My God, are you two okay?!"
Haruhi looked up at Alpha-7; her eyes were bloodshot, her cheeks soaked with tears. She had a look of horror and panic etched into her face, "Please...help her..."
Alpha-7 then looked over at Konata. She was laying still, face down on the cold metal floor, and in her back was a hot searing wound from a laser blast. As she lay there, the only signs of her living were the sounds of light, raspy breaths.
Alpha-7 turned sharply towards the cirque members, "I need a healer!!!"

"Xanatos? Hmm, the name sorta rings a bell," Facilier said in answer to Carl's question about the guy. "Maybe I met him once. But if it was, it was ages ago." He glanced at Carl. "Why, is he another infiltrator too?" God, how many Strato-Form Industries people had sneaked into the circus? It was ridiculous. How could Facilier have been so blind? He was never going to forgive himself for this. He was supposed to protect these people, and he had let the enemy in through the front door. How stupid could a guy get? "Not sure if that's safe right now, Quasi," he said when the shapeshifter suggested trying to mentally contact Esmeralda. "These guys at this company aren't stupid. They'll probably have stuck Esmeralda and the others into some sort of prison that prohibits magic. They probably have the technology for it, so any chance of me contacting Esmeralda right now is practically none if she's still in that cage." They soon came to another room. Luckily, Maria knew just what to do and activated a portal. Facilier raised an eyebrow. Portals made by magic, he was confident with those things. But a man-made portal? That was something that made him feel a little iffy. But there was no time to question it now. This was the only way they were going to progress any further. Although he did give the portal an experimental poke with his finger before stepping through after Maria.
Esmeralda bit her lip. She hated just standing here, but Alpha-7 had a point. If they were going to get out of there, they needed someone who knew this building. And Alpha-7 and Gun-Max probably knew it best, next to Tony himself. However, Haruhi and Konata soon showed up, and Konata looked ready to kick the bucket at any second. For a second, Esmeralda was reluctant to help them. These two had infiltrated the circus. They were practically spies. But the laser blast on Konata's back had to mean that they were fighting off robots, that they were on their side. That was enough for her to run over and try to help. But her magic mojo wasn't quite where it usually was. Her mind and body were still recovering from what Rourke did to her, and that made it hard for her to draw up her magic power like she used to. "Raven, you're going to have to put your plan on hold for now. I need help," she said, her voice getting slightly panicky again.

(OOC: sorry for taking so long to get in on this I haven't been paying enough attention but I'm here now with Kenoko and Renamon. If I've missed too much to join in let me know and I'll back out )
Renamon finally woke up after being knocked out for along period of time. she looked around and noticed Kenoko slumped next to her. Her plan to go it alone didn't go as she had planned and she was aggravated that she had been so reckless and was now causing more trouble for the cirque. Her uniform was gone and her crystal abilities didn't work. She took another look around and noticed others in the cell and there seemed to be quite the commotion. She stood up and hefted Kenoko onto her shoulder and walked toward the others. "Hey I just woke up from a not so nice enforced nap. What have I missed?" She wasn't sure about anything and could still feel the ringing in her ears.

When Hulk pushed Sasha aside Robin prepared to shoot his arrow at him. When he saw that Hulk had actually saved her he relaxed his defensive postition. "Huh guess he's on our side now." He said with a smile. "I just hope he doesn't hold a grudge." He joked. When the floor gave way under him he yelped in surprise but managed to land on his feet. "Everyone OK?" He asked. At the sight of the cybugs he growled. "You know I'm getting really sick of these things." He said placing his bow and quiver on the floor. He turned into his full fox form and atacked the bugs with a furousity he hadn't known he had.
Sasha smiled as her song began to affect The Hulk. When he pushed her aside she was surprised at how gentle he was. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw that he had saved her from being impaled. She yelped in shock as she felt the floor give way beneath her paws. Somehow she managed to land without injury. At the sight of the bugs she groaned. Unless Tony Stark was stupid enough to make a robot that was effected by a Siren's power she was useless. She gently picked up Robin's bow and quiver in her teeth and carried them as the party advanced.
AnneMarie quickly moved behind the mattress. She hoped that it worked. Otherwise they'd be back at square one. When the smoke from the explosion cleared she looked toward the door. It was still standing but the thing hindering magic was gone.
Charlie backed away from the walls of his cage. He didn't know why but something told him it was a good idea. Sure enough he heard an explosion and suddenly the walls of his cage vanished and he saw AnneMarie. With a sigh of relief he ran toward her.
Rita and Itchy watched as their friends got behind a mattress. Rita turned to see Charlie backing away from the walls of his cage. With a relieved smile she joined Itchy in the middle of their cage. After a blast of power Itchy saw Charile running to AnneMarie. "Charlie!" He shouted happily as he ran toward his friends. Happy that he could actually run to them. Rita joined him when she saw Charlie's head turn at Itchy's voice.
Justin felt the box he was in drop from the ceiling. He was happily surprised when the box broke and he was free. Sort off. He was out of the box but still in a cage. He groaned. He changed into his human form and looked around for something to do. He glared at Konata and Haruhi. "Why should We help you?" He asked them.

Raven spoke"Because, no matter how much these people have harmed us.. it's the right thing to do.''she'd look at Justin, her form eyeing them both"I don't think they had a choice on what they did...did you?'' asked Raven to them both ."Bring her to me, I can heal her.''she'd say softly eyeing the harmed Konata. ..maybe kindness will let them get set free."if Tony Stark has a hold on those two perhaps we can break it..?"she'd whisper to Esme."You know just as much magic as me. ..you need to concentrate and focus on their minds...''she'd point. "Read threw the posions inflicting their heads.Concentrate, don't conceal, feel, and let it go.''(Sorry couldn't refuse!)
Aladdins portals came up and about searching for Esmeralda ; he was furious- and wedding plans had been put on hold.- "Dr.Facilier, I think I might know what room- but her destiny keeps switching even on me.'' he'd say softly as he popped out of the blue glowing portal and scowled pointing at the other"Is this a joke?" he'd ask, insulted they'd near copied his power...he'd than notice the bugs...sighing he'd drop kick a few of them, Starfire- having the time of her life, was smashing away at the bugs , her magnificent power showing up as she glowed green, her hands blasting threw the robotic parts like it was nothing.
Quasimodo turned back into a Lion his form roaring as he did he'd crouch low ready to protect the good Doctor,he'd nod."Very well.''he'd say in his own mind...Aladdin popping out of no where startled him a little. Aladdin smiled and smirked"They didn't expect the son of a god to show up , now did they?" he'd ask his form looking at Facilier"Lets go save Esmeralda.''

Raven took the words right out of Belle's mouth. Even though Alpha-7 and Gunmax had done a lot to them, they were still humans. Humans who sacrificed at LOT to get them to where they were now. The renuion of the dogs and girl warmed her heart a little, but something bigger was at hand. "Only one of you should stay and heal," she blurted out, interrupted Raven's thought process. "The other magic wielder should come with us. If what Alpha-7 said is true, than we're running out of time and we'll be stuck in cages once again. And all the work our family and friends has put us through will be for nothing."

"Watch you arrogance," Zelda scolded the demigod. A few bugs were lined up in her line of sight where she wielded a very rare weapon; the Hylian Light Bow. Its beautiful, curved design couldn't be replicated unless an artist ha a keen eye to every detail. The Light Arrow she had nocked began to pulse, the white-yellow glow getting brighter as it surged with power. Just before the bugs could lunge, the queen released the bow...and in a split second all three bugs were collapsed in a heap of useless bits of metal with a singular hole in their heads. "The power of a god is one that should be handled with carefully and not gloated upon; it could get you into more trouble than you bargained for."
"...Yes and no," Carl answered Facilier's question with a bit of hesitation. Xanatos was too wily to be associated with these goons to be an infiltrator. Something darker was on his mind - the gargoyle remembered that from the little brawl up in Paris. "He's a demon with an eye on me fiancee. Not sure what he wants with her, but it can't be good. These monsters to him are just a means to an' end."
"And I'm getting tired of this coward throwing obstacles at us," A bug was crushed to smithereens by a force of gold sand. The redhead fortuneteller was facing the wave of bugs with a look of anger mixed with annoyance. Raven was somewhere in this hold, and he would not rest until the person responsible showed his face. "I want that monster who took my wife to show himself! I want to crush him, give jhim the funeral of Persians...he'll pay for what he's done..."

As the group entered into the portal, Captain America glanced back when he thought he heard someone mention 'Xanatos'. He saw Facilier and Carl speaking with one another. He knew it was probably wrong to eavesdrop, but from the sound of Carl's voice, he had a feeling he knew who the old gargoyle was looking for.
Maria looked back at Aladdin upon hearing his comment, "Don't ask me how it works, science was never my strong suit."
They'd barely entered the room when more cybugs began attacking them. It was a small group, and Captain America and Hulk, along with some of the others, were able to dispatch them quickly. Still, this hardly seemed like the last of them. They had to move fast.
After the second group of cybugs was destroyed, Maria opened the double-doors that lead to another hall. The hallway seemed clear at the moment, no sign of any impending attacks. Of course, there was no telling how long that would last.
"C'mon," Maria said hastily, "the Teleporter Room's this way."

Haruhi's vision lowered when she heard Justin's words. In a way, he was right; they didn't deserve their help. After all the harm they caused them, she wouldn't have blamed them if they refused. But when Raven stepped forward, offering her magic to help, Haruhi looked at her with wide eyes. This kindness was given without condition or reservation, and out of pure understanding. She remained silent and rigid as she looked down at Konata, who's wound slowly evaporated as Raven cast her spell. As she watched, she felt a curious sensation inside her. The words Raven spoke seemed to penetrate into her soul, like a pair of warm hands taking hold of a great weight on her heart. In all her days since being brought here, she never felt more liberated. This must have been what a good feeling felt like.
"Thank you..." Haruhi said to Raven; her eyes were still wet with tears, but a smile had formed on her face, replacing her fear with hope.
A moment after the spell was cast, Konata started to stir, lifting herself up part way, and looking up at Esmeralda and Raven, "...Auntie Em...is that you...?"
Alpha-7 breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Konata respond to the magic. Unfortunately, the moment was broken by the sudden sound of pounding against the doors to the cell. It appeared Haruhi and Konata's pursuers hadn't quite given up on the chase. They couldn't stay there much longer.
Alpha-7 turned towards Gun-Max, "Max, how are you?"
"Up to 72% power," Gun-Max said as he stood up, unplugging himself from the console, "that'll have to do, for now."
Alpha-7 nodded as she walked over towards the console, "Okay, we're gonna need a way outta here, and weapons."
"No problemo," Gun-Max answered as he began typing in commands into the computer console. As soon as he did so, a series of lights appeared near the holding cell as a tall rack materialized in the room. On the rack was a wide array of weapons, ranging from shotguns and pistols to assault rifles, hand grenades, and combat knives, along with enough ammunition for a full-scale war.
"I sent a call out for a hover platform," Gun-Max said, "we'll have our ride outta here in two minutes."
Alpha-7 nodded in acknowledgement, then turned towards the group, "To those of you who are able and old enough to fight, if any of you don't have any powers, and need a means of defending yourselves, I recommend grabbing a weapon."

Aladdin soon showed up, a little late to the party. But he seemed read to go at any moment. "We know where she is too, Al. And the others. Maria and Cap here are leading us to them. I know things are slow-going right now, but we need to take the safest route so we don't get all banged up and mangled before we even find them." He hoped Aladdin understood that much. Although the guy seemed almost as intent on finding Esmeralda as he was. And he hadn't even told him what Rourke did to her. Frankly, he hadn't told anyone. He figured since he had killed Rourke, there was no need to worry everyone. Although they might find out anyway once they found Esmeralda. He scowled a little when Carl mentioned that Xanatos was a demon who had his eyes on Sally. He knew better than anyone how much trouble a demon could cause. "Well, I've killed a demon in the past. If Xanatos shows his ugly face here, then I'll deal with him," he promised. He just hoped that he found Esmeralda before Xanatos showed up. The spell he had used to kill Thrax required two people to cast it. Luckily, there were only more robots at the moment, and they were easily disposed of. "Know how close we are?" Facilier asked Maria. He could sense some members of the group getting impatient. Whether they were angry or desperate, they wanted to find their loved ones now. And if it took too long, they might take matters into their own hands.
Raven's magic seemed to do the trick, and Konata seemed good as new, mostly. "Looks like she's a little out of it," Esmeralda said. "We should probably keep an eye on her. Especially you two." She glanced at Haruhi and Raven. "You guys will probably be better at protecting her than me at the moment." Esmeralda still felt like her full strength hadn't returned yet, and she was starting to get worried if it ever would. Luckily, Alpha-7 and Gun-Max had a solution, and an array of weapons soon appeared. Esmeralda knew she wasn't very good with a gun, though. She would have to rely on her magic powers. But she did take a knife, just in case. "Will we be able to find my father, and anyone else he's brought with him?" she asked Gun-Max. The last thing she wanted was to escape, but then leave her dad and the others behind.

"Then I'll be by yer side," Carl remarked to Facilier. An ally would be very helpful in the situation. Yes, he had beaten and fought Xanatos once, but that wasn't the same as Facilier's demon fighting resume. Two people had been killed under the ringmaster's hand, and he knew better than anyone that if anyone could help him get sally back, it was him.
While Gaara finished off another wave of bugs, an odd aura fell on him. The sense was...comforting, wise and ever watchful. It reminded him of a mother's hand on a child's shoulder, letting him know that everything would be okay. Only one kind of magic had that effect of Gaara, and he hadn't felt it until now. Which meant one thing. Whatever anger in him was left now was minimal. "...Raven," he breathed, light returning to his eyes. "Raven's here. I can sense her presence..." his head turned to one corner. "Is that where they hold people with strong magic?" the fortun teller asked their ally.
Belle's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. The array of weapons ranged from everything. Firearms would do her no good, though, which made her frown a tiny bit. But...one weapon did catch her eye. A metal bow, complete with steel arrows, glinting sharp and dangerous as a dragon's claw. Grabbing the quiver and strapping it, Belle stood next to Esmeralda, a comforting hand on her shoulder. "My engagement ring acts like a sort-of telepathic link between Duncan and I," she said. "It can't project words, but thoughts. I can maybe send a signal to him and let him know we're looking for him. Only he will hear it, and I bet you he's with the others."
