"Hmm, maybe I should make copies of my plant identification book and pass them out," Aidan said. "It could be educational, at the very least." Then again, people could probably buy a book like that at a store or something. But Aidan wouldn't mind making a few for people. It would give him and Tulio something to do, at the very least.

"Little paper pamphlets to hand out with the Times," Carl chimed in. He could picture it now; the tiny pamphlet stapled perfectrly inside volumes of what was going on in the human world. "And education...ah, there's a topic that gets me on edge. Nowadays, some children don't understand the value of learnin'. Technology feeds them."

"Iphones do seem to have replaced books lately," Aidan agreed. Personally, he had no idea how to work things like that. Tulio had tried to explaining it to him once, but after half an hour, Aidan just figured he would stick with books from now on. They were what he was used to.

"That's not even a gadget; it's a game." Carl nodded. The last person to try and teach him the iPhone (note to self; make crack about these guys fighting technology) was one of the younger people who had one. All Carl saw were some useful applications while the rest were mindless games. "Then you've got audio books. I listened to an absolutely horrible one; near put me to sleep."

((Lol old people and technology are the best.))
"Seems like that's what most people use audiobooks for nowadays," Aidan said. For some reason, hearing some voice read something helped people sleep better. Aidan was all for that if somebody had insomnia or something, but he could never fall asleep when someone was reading, or when he was reading himself. Books were so interesting and always had something for you to learn.

Carl gave an indignant look at Aidan. How dare the healer make fun of him falling asleep to a horrible reading. However, the insult was meant in fair sport, and Carl couldn't be too angry at one he considered a friend. "Perhaps getting one for all the babies bein' born around here will do some good," he chuckled. "Get them to sleep and teach them classics."

Aidan laughed. "Seems like the couples around here are making kids faster than rabbits," he agreed. But as long as the parents could take care of their kids, Aidan didn't see why they shouldn't have them. Kids were always fun to be around. "Maybe Facilier should open a nursery or something. I bet some of the circus members would love to make some extra cash by babysitting."

"A nursery," Carl guffawed out loud at the image that came into his mind. A whole wing of the infirmary full of little infants levitating, or chewing with sharp teeth on stuffed animals leaving holes while a whole list of what to do if so-and-so needed a burping. "I feel bad for the nannies who have to look after those tikes if we ever opened one."

Carl did bring up a good point. Who knew what powers some of these kids had. Maybe a nursery wasn't such a good idea. "Somebody would have to give them a pretty intense babysitting course," he said, laughing.

"Perhaps copying all the pages in those books of yers should be plastered all over and handed out to one who can take care of 'em," Carl chuckled. "Or that one animal girl who always has her nose in a book. Rumor has it she takes notes on some of the magic folk and compare it to the other writings on them. Got to give that girl a bravery medal."

"Ooo, a fan of research, is she?" While researching could be tedious at times, Aidan always loved discovering new things while doing it. And if the bookworm girl had a knack for it, her skills were sure to be a valuable asset to people who needed help.

"Aye. A bit too sharp for a regular human," Carl nodded. The young animal trainer - Belle - was an insufferable know-ity-all at times. But the old man knew she didn't mean to come off as smart-alecy. "But, much like you, she's not very arrogant about it. Not often do ya see that in a young one."

"Hmm, it seems like both Aisling and I would get along well with her," Aidan said. "Speaking of which, I should probably find her. Gotta get started on getting her to meet all these fine people." He grinned. "It was nice catching up with you, though. I guess old guys like us gotta stick together, right?"

"Oh, yes." Carl set the empty mug away. Aidan was a busy man with the circus. No one knew when someone needed help recovering from a twisted leg or a sprain ankle. Tulio could probably use practice from his mentor. "Make sure to give that lil' mischief maker my regards." Raising a veined hand, Carl bid his friend farewell to let him search for his fairy companion ((End thread))
