" Kanmaii o desta ii mente, sanmaraii o tiswo. Kanmaii o desta ii noche, Ei Satarii o tiswo. Kom ye. Kom ye. Kom ye. Aya ye. Iiswo Rarimi na tiswo, ikenariri noche. Kom ye. Kom ye. Kom ye. Aya ye. Iiswo Rarimi na tiswo, Ikenariri atis ii yo.." Andrew kept on singing as he arrived at the main performance tent by himself, it's been a while to see it ever since the fire that he, Kasturi, and Chihiro unintentionally ignited the tent. Good thing it's fixed when they moved to Nairobi, the tent doesn't look burned once he entered. Inside is very quiet, there aren't any people coming to the tent. So far, it's his turn to perform. Hence, he have to practice for the show. He sat in the middle of the performance ring while taking out a bag filled with equipments involved Chemistry, especially that one clear jar filled with white powder. "Mercury (II) Thiocyanate...." Andrew murmured the compound inside the jar as he started to sprinkle at least half of the powder in the middle of the ground. He then packed his equipment and placed them on a bench nearby. The compound he made is somehow, no, actually toxic when it's not handled carefully, which is why he distanced himself away from the centre. Andrew is a Master Alchemist, but he uses his powers for the basic needs unless it's an emergency to even summon an Earth Golems. Andrew started his own magic by circling his fingers in the air to create a red magic, he then snapped his fingers to create the rune of Fire and placed it in the middle of the circle. Flames then bursted out under the circle and ignited the chemical compound. Solid tendrils then sprouted out of the flaming powder, and it kept on growing and growing and growing and growing non stop until the tendrils became larger than Andrew himself. He kept on backing away as far as possible until one of the tendrils caught his foot and made him tripped on the ground, then the following wrapped his arms and legs until he is tied up in the air. The good news is that the chemical reaction stopped, the bad news is that he couldn't get down from the tendrils without risking in falling down.
Andrew wondered if he put too much of the powder... (The Mercury (II) Thiocyanate somehow looked like this when ignited by fire. It's called the Pharaoh's Serpent)

Suddenly, the silence of the tent was broken by the sound of someone inhaling very quickly and then quickly mumbling to themselves in a foreign language.
Near the entrance of the tent, a young man stepped forward slowly and looked at the massive thicket of tendril-like objects that seemed to fill the space. Manolo had never seen anything like the chemical reaction in front of him and had no idea what it might even been. He had only come to the tent to retrieve a prop that he and Lucille had left behind during their last practice session.
Now he stepped slowly forward, his posture tense but his expression uncertain as his brown eyes took in the massive shape before him. It was only as his gaze turned towards the top of the tendrils that he saw the figure trapped near the top.
He blinked in surprise, unsure of if the figure was merely trying out a new act or if they were in trouble. He cleared his throat slightly before calling up to the person.
"Um...hola. I hope I am not intruding but.....you look as thought you might possibly require some assistance?"

The child slowly turned his head at the source of the foreign voice while not trying to break the tendrils under his weight, it's not like the powder was made of cement after all. Andrew thought twice whether he wanted to be saved by the man or he could at least free himself, though both of the choices are quite dangerous. Either he falls or the man falls, there's literally no escape, especially the chemical reaction wasn't disposable if not being careful for the environment. But the man seemed to be willing to help him in going down, it would be rude to say No anyway. Though, the man has to be careful though or he'll get hurt. "Um....Okay. Be careful!" Andrew warned the man to be careful and not to get hurt.

Manolo wasn't sure if the young child would answer him or not and was just thinking about leaving when he called down. Apparently he did need help after all and Manolo nodded his head before walking forward towards the strange tendrils. It didn't appear to be alive but he was cautious all the same as he approached.
Frowning slightly, Manolo stopped a foot away from the object before reaching out a hand and touching the substance, thinking perhaps that he could climb up to the boy. Immediately it began to crumble away in his hand and he hastily took a step back.
"What IS this?"

"P-p-p-pharaoh's....Serpent!" Andrew yelled the name, which result that some of the structure getting crumbled when he moved. It's really not good at all, the man couldn't even climb up and get him down. Even the tendrils that trapped him are started to crumble too, even if he made himself stiff so it won't broke off. When he looked down, he felt dizzy and afraid. He never experienced falling from a high structure before, nor he even want to know how it felt. It's not much of the choice anyway, he couldn't risk the man in climbing up. So he had to go down, even if it's gonna get hurt. At least he can use his Alchemy, the wind would help him slow down his fall if ever. He started in breaking the tendrils off, good thing that the ones who hold his legs and feet were off. But the one that held his arms aren't breaking and instead the root of the tendril just snapped. Andrew was falling, but with the tendril still made his arms immobile he couldn't use his Alchemy. He wondered why he didn't thought of this through, considering that he wasn't screaming at all. He could only brace for impact, at least the ground would somehow make the impact less painful.

Manolo didn't have time to wonder what Pharaoh's Serpent could be before he structure started to cave in on itself with the boy still trapped near the top. He quickly saw that despite the thing falling to pieces, he arms were still constricted to his sides. If he fell and hit the floor from that height with no way to brace himself, he could get badly injured.
The guitarist took all of this in in a split second before suddenly making a decision. As the tendrils started to fall with the boy in their grasp, he reached to his side where a double scabbard was belted to his waist. From the left scabbard he pulled a sword and, pulling his arm back for added momentum, threw the blade just to the side of the boy.
It struck the strange substance only a inch from him and caused the strands trapping him to suddenly shatter and fall away. Not waiting to see if the boy would stop his descent or not, Manolo rushed forward between the Pharaoh's Serpent as it collapsed and prepared himself to catch the boy.

Andrew was finally freed from the hold of the Pharaoh's Serpent, but right now he was falling with his arms flailing around in the air. He could see that the man was about to catch him, but Andrew was worried if he might hurt him. He doesn't know how heavy he was, he would probably be the same weight as a normal bowling ball or something perhaps. Just to be safe, he decided to use a little bit of his Alchemy to slow his fall. He circled his hand that formed a small Alchemy with a rune of the Wind symbol in the middle. The circle releases a gust of wind that slows his fall a little until he was able to reach the man's arms and embraced him with a hug. "Yay," He squeaked.

Even as he started to run towards the figure of the falling boy, Manolo knew he wouldn't be able to reach him in time. Nonetheless, he continued to run as fast as his legs would allow him and hoped for a miracle.
Suddenly, one happened.
The young boy made a strange gesture with his hand and suddenly a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere and slowed his descent just enough for Manolo to reach him. The boy fell into his arms and he staggered slightly before righting himself. He looked down at the boy in astonishment before he suddenly threw his small arms around his neck and hugged him.
The guitarist merely blinked until the boy let him go. He stared at him for a moment before suddenly realizing he was still holding him and gently lowering him to the ground.
"That wind, was that you?"

Andrew looked up to him happily, "Yes!" he answered as he removed the bandage that was wrapped around his right arm. It reveals different 'marks' that was carved on his arm, those marks glowed in green, gold, red, blue, and yellow. "And then water, and then earth, and then fire, and then light...M-m-m-master A-a-alchemist." Andrew stuttered, he was being modest as he thought that Alchemy was both embarrassing and highly dangerous.
"Ummm.....T-t-thank you....Uhh...." He wanted to say thank you to the man that saved him, but without knowing the man's name he couldn't finish aside from having limited speech ever since he came to the Cirque.

"Oh, Manolo."
He offered his hand to the young boy while a smile, but the look in his eyes was still somewhat taken aback and slightly confused.
"Perdón, but what exactly is an...alchemist? And how did you do that?"
Manolo gestured to the pieces of the tendril-like structure that littered the floor of the performance space. He was unfamiliar with the term alchemist and had no idea what such a person was to begin with. Were they another race of beings or someone with a special gift or something else entirely? He couldn't be sure in that moment and felt it best to clear his ignorance.

Andrew stared at the hand, that was the second time he encountered a person holding out their hand, the first one was Elsa. He still doesn't know what it meant, but he must do something to respect the man that saved him. He could do a salute, it's a sign of respect anyway. He placed his right hand close to the tip of his eyebrow. "Andrew Malus Dienheim!" He said his full name while smiling at the man named Manolo in return.
Talking about Alchemy was pretty simple but complex explanation, especially to a Master Alchemist who knows what it was. So he pulled out his right hand with his palms closed as the marks on his arms started to glow together, he then opened his palm revealing his Alchemy circle with the Elemental runes floating above the circle. His eyes turned into green and violet as he stared at the circle. "Alchemy....Science and Magic together. Mama always says....'Seven planets and seven musical scales. The harmony of the universe, Alchemy’s deepest secret, is the harmony of music and the absolute truth it creates. As they all come from the same source, there is nothing strange about at all. In the prehistoric era, after the Curse of Balal removed Humanity’s mutual understanding, they sought a new method. Alchemy is communication with the world, attaining harmony by knowing all. They tried to use it to go beyond worlds to connect with the world. Both alchemy and songs were created to restore the lost unified language. Alchemy’s final goal is to communicate and in harmony with the world, by knowing all things.'" Andrew closed his palm and his eyes turned normal right after he recited his mother's line, he picked up the jar of Mercury Thiocyanate. He could only look at the finished product and wondered on how big it was.
"Ummm...just Chemistry. Pharaoh's Serpent. Mercury Thiocyanate. Ingredients, Potassium Thiocyanate, Mercury, then Nitric Acid. Concentrated." Andrew explained what the ingredients were, the odd part was how the child able to produce the toxic compound.
"Using Alchemy fire, from this...." He pointed the jar "...To that." He then pointed to the Pharaoh's Serpent.

The boy offered his own name, that of Andrew. However, as he began to explain what an alchemist was, Manolo found it difficult to follow the young boy's words. He did his best to understand what the boy was trying to say, but by the time he had finished speaking all Manolo had gathered was that alchemy was some a combination of science and magic.
"Um, I am not sure if I followed all of that but I think I got the basics."
Andrew then quickly launched into an explanation of what the Pharaoh's Serpent was, listing off a multitude of chemicals that Manolo and never even heard of before. He wasn't a stupid person and had even been called clever by several people in his time, but clearly this boy's brains went way beyond anything he knew.
"Impressive. You must have quite the knack for knowledge."

Andrew scratched his cheek as a sign that he's being modest about his intelligence and he doesn't want to brag about it. The person who gave his intelligence was his mother named Carol, she should be the one who'll take the credit and it would be honorable for her efforts even though she's not here anymore.
"Umm...Mama taught many things. She's Carol Malus Dienheim, also Alchemist and powerful too. Mama taught me Science, Math, History, Language...and 'stuff'...But Mama not here anymore, she's dead." Andrew honestly replied, he doesn't show any signs of grief when he mentioned about the death of Carol as he only gave Manolo a sincere smile at him.

Andrew seemed quite humble as he didn't brag or boast about his intelligence and instead spoke about how his mother had been the one to teach him. However, it wasn't a moment later before he stated that his mother was dead. Manolo didn't say anything but thought that it had been the most likely case. Why else would a young child be by himself at a circus unless he had no family?
Manolo's expression turned somewhat sympathetic but it was clear that Andrew wasn't grieving. Still, he felt it necessary to show that he didn't make light of the boy's loss.
"I know something of that. Losing someone you love...."
His voice grew more quiet but he kept his own face clear of the sorrow that still ate away at him sometimes, a smile in its place.

Uh oh, Andrew thought that he made Manolo sad by triggering something from his mother's death. Andrew now felt bad and he wants to apologize from it.
The child stared at the man's hand, he felt like he need to reach out to Manolo literally and apologize to the man he hurt. "M...Ma.....Manolo...." Andrew called out Manolo's name as he reached out his hand to Manolo's.
