Manolo looked at the flyer and couldn't help but feel a sudden rush of heat in his cheeks when he realized the people depicted on the advertisement were himself and Lucille. He didn't know why the idea of him being displayed on flyers bothered him so much when he was perfectly fine with having hundreds of people watch him perform. He figured it just had to do with the idea that he and his partner were the faces of the Cirque, at least temporarily.
Lucille, however, only gave the flyer a brief look and instead was focused on Aurora, her face lit with excitement at the news that she too was a dancer in the circus.
"You dance? Oh, that's wonderful! I haven't really had a chance to get to know or talk with the other dancers at back at the Cirque Mystique but I've been trying to find a fellow dancer. It looks like good luck passed my way when you stopped here."

Aurora looked up from the ground she was staring at. Lucille was a dance,r no doubt about that, but the fact she had no one in the dance troupe to talk to? There was Esmeralda, who was always friendly to newcomers, so it surprised her that Esmeralda hadn't invited this duo to join their ever growing group of friends. "Is...that right? It...surprises me none of the other dancers wish to spend time with you. With...both of you."

"Well, we tend to keep to ourselves frequently and we haven't been in the Cirque for that long. Only about....a month?"
Lucille looked to Manolo for confirmation on this and the guitarist finally turned his gaze away from the poster and back to the two women.
"Two months, actually. We've met a few people, but not all that many."
Lucille nodded, surprised once again how quickly time seemed to have passed since they had signed Facilier's contract and joined the strange traveling troupe of performers.
"Yes. Hopefully we get to meet and befriend more people the longer we are in the group, but as of now you are the first dancer I have met at least."
Manolo nodded in agreement, making it clear he too had met no other dancers.

Aurora blinked. Two months, and they hadn't even gotten the chance to know anyone? Not even in Salem where there was a station for a good long while? She wrung a hand through her curls, smoothing out small bits. But the guitarist mentioned meeting a few people, which was far better than her.
"I am...I am...honored, I suppose, to be the...first dancer you have met."

"Tell me, what sort of style do you dance to?"
Lucille's question seemed friendly and innocent enough, but there was something else hidden in the question as well. Her eyes glanced briefly to Manolo and he merely gave a little shrug. The two of them had been thinking about a piece they wanted to perform but it required another dancer. They had been talking of the best way to approach the other dancers of the Cirque Mystique with their request for another performer to join their act, but perhaps fate had already sent someone to them.

"St-style? I...I did not know that there were styles," Aurora admitted. The Faeries had no real name for any of their dances. All they called it was reveling. There wasn't anything fancy about it at all, she just danced how she felt and that was it. It took a lot of strange dance terms to get through, and to be honest she ignored the names and put focus on the motions themselves. "I just...I just dance."

"Oh, so you dance to your own beat, so to say?"
Manolo immediately understood what Aurora meant when she said she didn't have a style she danced to. After all, his music didn't always have a definite genre in mind and was merely his own playing, something that came to him in a moment of inspiration and couldn't be defined or lumped into a group.
It was a little harder for Lucille to grasp but she nodded her head, understanding after a bit of thought.
"It must be quite refreshing in a way. Dancing to your own style, letting your own instincts take over."

Aurora shrugged. The only person who seemed to understand it was Manolo. Perhaps it was his work as a musician. There was somethin about him she liked. It almost reminded her of...no, she shouldn't think of him. He was dead and she wasn't going to think about him. Now, she was supposed to be talking to these new people.
"When you put it like that," she said simply, "Yes, I am letting my own instincts. I am...well...half-Faerie."

"Half-Faerie?"
Manolo's expression turned to one of mild confusion but Lucille looked positively thrilled at this news.
"Oh wonderful! I've never met any Faeries at all before you! Although to be fair, I haven't met really any of the unique and amazing people of the Cirque until we joined the Cirque!"
Lucille clasped her fingers together in front of her in excitement, only too happy to have the opportunity to learn about yet another race of beings that she hadn't even known were real a short time ago. Manolo, however, still looked somewhat confused and, rubbing the back of his head, spoke to Aurora.
"I hope this doesn't sound rude but......are the Faeries like those in the legends and stories or.....well, is that just human myth?"

The reactions from both musicians at Aurora's heritage were things she had seen before. Some were confused, while other were amazed, but she had never seen it happen at the same time. She rocked back and forth on her heels anxiously, trying to find a way to answer Manolo's question without stepping on toes.
"Um..." Aurora stuttered, "...The Seelie-Unseelie thing is...true. But they...are different from the Faeries I am a part of."

"I hope I'm not being too prying, but what court is it that you hail from?"
Lucille's smile never left her face as she asked Aurora this question. In her childhood she had found herself drawn to learning as much as she could about magical and supernatural beings. Her parents had thought it a simple fancy for world of fantasy, but it ran deeper then that for the young French woman. It was almost as if it called to her, like a voice too soft to understand yet still heard had whispered in her ear.
Fairies had been just one of the many she had learned about but she was still uncertain if human lore was correct or not.
Manolo, however, looked just as confused as before. Lucille saw this on her companions face and gave a little shrug of apology to him. He was still a novice to all things supernatural, after all.
"Sorry, I should explain. Fairies have different courts that they belong to and each court falls under a season of the year."
The guitarists expression cleared somewhat at this expression and was replaced with a hint of curiosity. What court was it that Aurora hailed from then?

Aurora nodded with Lucille during the explanation she was giving to the still very-confused Manolo. It seemed that the Faerie lore was common to the human world. Well, at least in Europe it appeared to be common, and Lucille gave a European appearance.
"I am of the Spring court," she said, both answering Lucille's question and aiding in the explanation of the courts. "and all Faeries have some kind of talent. We have some that fly so fast they create breezes, some paint the very flowers that bloom, and some create rainbows by using water and light." She cast her eyes down at the finished explanation. It had been years, but she was still ashamed of her talent. She had gotten too many people hurt.

"Spring? Well, I suppose that explains your beauty since Spring is the season of rebirth and life."
Manolo said this without thinking and only realized what he had said to the young Faerie after the fact. Suddenly, his olive-toned face began to turn bright pink as a wave of embarrassment passed over him. He cleared his throat and turned his gaze to his guitar, fiddling with the strings so that he didn't have to look at how Aurora would react to his words.
Lucille bit back at laugh at Manolo's reaction but didn't make a sound of out respect for his friend. Honestly, sometimes he was shy for the silliest of reasons. After all, most woman, be they human or otherwise, would be flattered being called beautiful. Still, she stepped forward with her own question to try and ease her friend's embarrassment.
"And what is your talent?"

Aurora felt her face turn pink at Manolo's compliment. She had many man try to "woo" her ever since Raimundo passed away, and something about the bluntness of the statement reminded her of the very first words the Brazilian had told her. She timidly tucked a curl back, choosing to think about the present. Rai was gone, these two were here, wanting to genuinely know about her history and family. Other people in the cirque, like Belle, Esmeralda, and Mulan had been among them.
"My talent is...animal speak. I...I can talk to animals, and...and they talk back to me."

"That must be quite the useful talent, what with the numerous animals that reside at the circus along with the rest of us."
Manolo spoke once more, although his eyes still kept on the ground near Aurora's feet and his tone was somewhat softer then it had been when he first spoke. He might have said more given enough time but as he stared at the ground he noticed how long all of their shadows had grown. It was starting to get late.
"We should probably head back to the Cirque Mystique."
Lucille noticed the time too at her companions words and nodded in agreement but still kept her gaze on Aurora. She was curious about the young Faerie and wanted to learn more about her. Also, an idea for a dance had suddenly started to form in her mind....
"Perhaps you would like to return with us, Aurora? I have a proposal.... a new dance routine, that I would like to offer if you are interested."
