Aurora had to admit, of all the cities the cirque had been to, Nairobi was probably her favorite. There was a balance between the urban life and nature that made her feel much more at ease. She still wasn't too happy wearing sandals, but it did protect her feet from getting injured. She was strolling through the streets, admiring some of the stalls, when the twang of guitar music flowed through her ears.

The source of the music came from a corner street where a small group of pedestrians had gathered to listen. At the center of the half-circle were Manolo playing his guitar and Lucille dancing.
"Te pido de rodillas Luna no te vayas Alumbrale la noche A ese corazón Desilusionado A veces maltratado."
Manolo's voice and the music of his guitar seemed to be the only sound along the street in that moment, his fingers effortlessly strumming across the strings of his instrument. His eyes were closed, as if he were lost in some bliss that could only be achieved through passion for ones gift.
Lucille herself was dancing slowly and with just as much passion as her musical partner. Her body seemed an art in movement and expression as she let Manolo's music guide her. Suddenly her own voice joined the song as she continued to slowly spin to the beat.
"No te perdonaré Si me dejas solo Con los sentimientos Que pasan como el viento Lo revuelven todo Y me vuelven loco."

The performers were crowded by a few number of pedestrians, and Aurora pushed her way through to work her way to the front. They were singing in a foreign language, which wasn't any she heard in Africa. The blonde watched the redheaded woman spin like an untrained child yet a trained dancer at the same time. She had nothing to give them to support, and guilt was settling in.

Together, Manolo and Lucille began to sing in harmony, each completely engulfed in what they were doing and loving every moment of it.
"Loco Por besar tus labios Sin que quede nada por dentro de mí Diciéndotelo todo Yo No te perdonaré Si me dejas por dentro con ese dolor No te perdonaré Si me vuelves loco Si me vuelves loco Ay ay ay ay..."
This was the very thing that had brought them together so long ago and yet not so long ago in Paris. Each had recognized the spark of passion in the other, the drive and simple pleasure of music they embraced. Lucille's dancing, Manolo's guitar playing and both of their singing.
However, as always the song soon reached its end and each of them was forced to end the music. At least, for the moment. The crowd cheered and clapped as the duet took a bow. Several people at the front attempted to give the money but the two merely shook their heads and smiled, instead handing out flyers they had brought with them from the Cirque. The pair had agreed on the performance being free but had felt that it wouldn't be a bad idea to advertise about the Cirque Mystique. The people took these and the crowd began to disperse, clearly interested in what they had seen and the what the could see at the circus despite Manolo and Lucille not understanding the language.
Once most of the people had left, Lucille turned to Manolo and beamed at him.
"That went much better then I thought it would! I was so sure I would get confused and start singing in French instead of Spanish again."
Manolo merely smiled back at her and shook his head, once again amazed at the fact that Lucille doubted her abilities despite her confidence.
"What do you mean again? You didn't even do that at our last practice session!"

Aurora just stared with her mouth wide. The chemistry between them was undeniable. They knew when and where to stop in the music, when to change into harmonies, and more impressive, when to stay in beat with dancing. The Faeries took their performing seriously, and it was something she had rubbed off on her.
She applauded with the crowd. The performers bowed, humbly refusing notions and handing out flyers..for the Cirque Mystique. She didn't know what to do. These were her performing comrades, what could she say that didn't comoff as awkward?
The people walked away, leaving the performers to mingle amongst themselves and Aurora rocking back and forth, uncertain whether to walk forward or walk away

Lucille and Manolo continued to speak to each other as the rest of the crowd finally drifted away.....except for one individual.
"Maybe we should look into doing a French duet as well. We might also try our hand at another language all together to try and pull in a more diverse audien......"
It was as this point that Lucille suddenly noticed the young woman who had remained behind when everyone else had returned to their normal activities in the city. She was beautiful with long blond hair and beautiful eyes. She wasn't certain if they were violet or not but she was inclined to think that they were. She gave Manolo a small nod towards the strange and he noticed her too.
"Hello there. Is there something we can help you with?"
Lucille spoke politely, wondering if the woman understood English or not.

OH no, they had noticed her. Her she was thinking of good ways to start a conversation and her twitching got her caught. Aurora let a nervous squeak come out of her mouth, not looking at the pretty redhead who had addressed.
"Um...No...I...I was only listening to your wonderful voices," She hung her head. At least she could get the compliment out.

"Well, thank you. We thought a free street performance would be nice for everyone in this little corner of Nairobi."
Lucille could sense that the stranger was quite shy and tried to keep her tone light yet friendly and inviting. A moment of silence fell between the three of them before Manolo jumped in to fill it.
"So are you from Nairobi or just visiting the area?"

""I...Um..." Aurora dug her toes deeper into the street. The woman was giving her some space, which was something she needed to bring up what she wanted to sya without choking. But her composure ended when the handsome musician joined them. Even up close, he was smooth and charming. Aurora ducked her eyes down, saying quickly, "I'mamememberoftheCirqueMystique, too."

Manolo blinked at the sudden and rapid sentence that the woman mumbled out to them. He looked over at Lucille who looked just as surprised by this sudden outburst as she was. However, after a moment of thinking it over, the he finally deciphered what the shy stranger had said.
"Oh, you're from the Cirque Mystique!"
Lucille's slightly confused expression immediately cleared at her partner's words and she offered another smile before stepping towards the young woman, her own pale had extended outward in a greeting.
"Well if that's so, I'm Lucille Dubois. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss."
She stood in front of the girl, patiently waiting for her to introduce herself and accept her offered hand.

Well, at least they were able to understand what she had said in her garble of shyness. Aurora dug her toe deeper into the dirt, just looking up at the redhead, Lucille, out of the corner of her eye. Her hand had extended to shake, and the half Faerie very slowly clasped her hand into hers.
"..Au...Aurora..." She answered.

Lucille gently shook the woman's hand, only too aware how shy she was acting and determined to try and put her worries aside.
"Aurora? As in 'the dawn,' right?"
Manolo had taken this opportunity to come forward himself. He only just caught her name as she whispered it softly to the ground and wasn't completely sure if his translation was correct, but he hoped the attempt might help alleviate some of the girl, Aurora's, anxieties.
"Oh! Is that what it means?"
Lucille gently let got of Aurora's hand and looked at her friend to confirm this news.

Aurora didn't know what to say. She had heard people interpret her name from Latin. A lot of Faeriies of the royal courts had their names tie in with nature.
"Um...um, yes...it...does mean 'dawn'."
But she wasn't hear to talk about the past and names. It wasn't like she knew that the name Manolo was a derivative of something silly. Lucille just sounded like 'Lucy', so she took it as a prettier version of that.

"So you're from the Cirque Mystique! You can probably guess what our act is already."
Manolo made a small gesture at his guitar and at Lucille. Anyone on the street who had seen even a little of their performance could guess at the fact that they were a musical duet.
"What is it you do at the circus, Aurora?"
Lucille had gone over to the section of the sidewalk where they had put their few possessions down during the performance and began to gather them up, her green gaze glancing up every now and then to look at her friend and Aurora.

"That and the...flyers..gave it away." Aurora shrugged and showed off a flyer she had found on the street. Apparently, the publicity for the circus was growing every year she was with them. Before, it was a lot of keeping under lock and key. But, now, a flyer could be placed without fear of a demon lord of dark magician catching wind. The flyter depicted a guitarist and a dancer who uncannily looked an awful lot like Lucille and Manolo.
"I...I...dance...in the background. Not once have I asked for a solo. Well, except Christmas, but that is not a true performance for the people so I do not count it.."
