Kevin decided to take a walk between the tent to get away from his wife yelling at his daughter and son for getting into trouble again. He didn't like to be around Kyouko when her temper hit with their youngest. He decided to just go out to get some fresh night air while playing with his knife in hand. It seemed like a very quiet evening.

Gaara reclined against one of the posts supporting a tent. His aqua eyes were glazed, and already he was having a throbbing headache. Beofre, the headache had been from adjusting to the Sands' powers of showing him flashes of the past, present, and splintered future. Now that question was what did the future say about him? What he had done? It was impossible to get that image out of his mind.

Kevin continued to walk along the tents. It felt that the night was going to get chilli, seemed like a good night to him. He managed to find a box to sit on for a while and look up at his sister's beloved night sky. Wondering if things actually have changed. He then noticed a red haired man reclined on a post nearbye. In the past, he would have just looked it over, yet now things were different. "Hey, you okay?"

Okay? How was murdering a wife and still getting the trauma of it okay? Gaara had nothing to say, at least not out loud. He didn't need anyone's empathy at this point. He responded to the stranger by just shaking his head, not bothering to see who it was.

Kevin looked at the guy clearly the guy was the opposite of what his response meant, but respecting people like that. He decided to let it go and started to play with his knife that his twins gave him. He wasn't the type to waste or even give empathy to others. He then looked up into the sky. "Troubles are troubles. Ones business is ones business." he muttered to himself.

Gaara hung his head lower. At least this stranger, who was probably a young man around his age, wasn't pressuring him to answer silly questions or pester him into being something he didn't care about being. A metallic shing echoed...a blade. The good news was this young man didn't plunge it into his skin, severing an artery or anything of the like. "..Thank you," he said quietly. "It's...good to know that someone understands."

Kevin shrugged his shoulders and looked at the guy. "No problem." he said calmly back to the red headed young man. As he continued to take care of his knife. "I would be the same in your shoes. It doesn't take that much to see when a man wants to be left alone." He said calmly. After a lifetime of having a cocky brother always looking after him, he knew when people wanted to be alone. "So no problem."

His acquaintance was flicking a blade back and forth. Gaara had seen this habit in many of his travels. Instead of a threat, it was just a sort of...natural fidget. Each toss was casual, no ill will. But it caught the rays of the sunset brilliantly. "Where did you find your blades?"

Kevin looked at his knives. "My daughters have a blade throwing act, they decided a knife would be the best gift to give." he said rather bluntly. It was the truth and Kevin did find the knife useful. He decided that maybe the time had come to slide the knife back into it's socket.

Knife throwing? Not even Gaara trusted his own children to try and assault him weapons. True, there was the Sands automatic defense, but that could be broken down if he was unaware. And considering Arella had run away, the one child he knew would have relished hurting her parents was out of question. "You must put a lot of faith in them," he said.
