((Continued from Reticle))
Alpha-7 burst through the entrance to the infirmary, her breathing quick and frantic as the young boy (Andrew) lay motionless in her arms. Streams of blood dripped from in between her fingers as she tried desperately to keep the wound in his stomach closed. In her haste to reach the infirmary, she had torn open the wound in her arm, which had begun bleeding again. She hadn't noticed the injury, focusing too much on saving the boy. She was breathless, if not for the adrenaline pumping through her veins, she might not have made it there so quickly. She knew there was no time to waste, the boy needed help, fast.
"Doctor!" she cried out, "I need a doctor!"
Alpha-7 looked about, frantic and fearful for the young life in her arms, in danger of becoming lost.

While Tulio and Aidan were used to dire medical emergencies around here, they still couldn't help widening their eyes in surprise as a young woman rushed into the medical tent with a young boy. Both of them seemed to be bleeding, the boy more-so.
"Oh shit," Tulio muttered under his breath. Aidan felt like that was an understatement. He had met Andrew before, in this very tent in fact. Kasturi had brought him in, and he had been gravely injured then too. Aidan hoped that getting hurt all the time like this wouldn't have a lasting impact on him. But, there would be time to worry about that later. Right now, he and Tulio had work to do.
"Tulio, I'm going to need two medical tables open, for both of them," he instructed. "You can tend to the woman's injuries. I'll handle Andrew."
"You've met this kid before?" Tulio asked as he sprang into action.
"Yes, in a manner similar to this, I'm afraid," Aidan replied. He turned to the woman before asking "What happened?"

Everything was just a blur, he couldn't see anything nor even move his own body as much as he could. It was so numb that the stabbing pain of Dainsleif was nowhere to feel from his stomach, not because he's dead but because it's really numb that he couldn't feel anything. He was stiff the whole time and let the lady do whatever she can to help tend his wounds, the obvious one was to go to the Infirmary Tent because that was how he was healed before. He has his hands gripped tight to the cursed relic, except Dainsleif didn't seem to be a dangerous sword anymore. It became a simple dagger that Kasturi owned as he kept close to his chest. The blood however, dried up and stained his clothes from his vest down to his pants, but he could still breathe despite losing much blood.
The voice of someone familiar made him want to find the source of it, but his own vision could only get a glimpse of someone white. The least he could do is recognising the person, he could only shift his head to which the side sound came from.
".....G.....G-G-Grand...pa.....Ai...dan???" Andrew whispered hoarsely as blood began to flow from his mouth.

Alpha-7 felt some relief after seeing two healers appear from the back of the tent. It sounded like the older one knew the boy. Hopefully, he'd have a solution to help him. She took little notice of the boy's muttering as she brought him to the healer.
"He was stabbed," Alpha-7 explained, "it was some kind of dark-magic sword, Day-en-whatever. All I know is it's dark magic."
As she spoke, the pain in her arm began to intensify, what with all the strain she'd been putting on it while bringing the boy in. She tried not to let it show, but she couldn't help but wince slightly at the sharp pain.

Andrew was talking. Aidan felt like that had to be a good sign, even if blood was flowing from him, a lot. And when Alpha-7 explained that he had been attacked with dark magic, he became even more worried. Magical wounds were tricky to heal. And more often than not, they required an actual spell to fix, not just healing powers. But, Aidan felt like he had to try. Besides, Alpha-7 herself was hurt too. She needed to be treated as well.
"Okay Aidan, we're all set," Tulio said.
That brought Aidan out of his thoughts. Now was the time for action, not for worrying.
"Right. Alpha-7, just set Andrew here and I'll take care of him. Tulio will work on whatever wounds you have." He paused before asking "Did you get hit by that dark magic sword too?"

Andrew felt cold all of a sudden, his grip on Kasturi's sword was shaking. He knew that the rule of Dainsleif was to take a life in order to sheathe, he also knew that the wounds from Dainsleif were untreatable to heal. Because it's a cursed sword after all, but maybe Aidan would defy the rules of Dainsleif. He just need to try, it'll be like the time when he was struck with an arrow before after all.
"D...Da....Dain....Dainsleif........" Andrew breathed to at least say a sentence, "..........Cursed Sword.....Must kill man....To be sheathed.......Wounds....Never heal....."
He could look at the three with a solemn look, once the lady tell who stabbed him, it'd be sure it was Kasturi's being pointed fingers at.
"......It's.....okay.......It's gonna be okay.......Please........don't be mad.........Not....Kasturi's fault.....Forgive her.....I'm ss-s-sorry...." The wounded child used all his strength to talk, he couldn't speak once more as he lay himself hanging to the lady's arms. His own breathing was shallow, almost to the sound of sobbing. Tears included. The pain was everywhere, not just the body but the heart also.

Alpha-7 was quick to place the boy on the table as she answered Aidan's inquiry, "Yeah, but I'm not important right now! You have to help the kid first! Please, there's no time to-!"
She looked down as the boy spoke. He was still trying to defend Kasturi's actions. All this, and he was still concerned more with his sister than his own well-being. She could scarcely believe he was still able to talk.
"Look, kid," Alpha-7 said, taking his hand into hers', "I don't care about blame. Nobody here does. The only thing that matters is helping you. Alright? Just...just focus on saving your strength. The doctor's gonna patch you up, and everything will be fine."
Alpha-7 then turned towards Aidan, "Help him first, okay?"

Aidan let out a breath. "Don't worry, I'll call on Tulio if I need him. In the meantime though, he has to make sure you don't end up getting any worse, or we'll have two dire cases on our hands instead of two." He cracked his knuckles as his healing power charged up, his palms steadily glowing. "Take it easy, son. Just relax. We're here to help you," he said to Andrew, hoping maybe that could convince him to stop talking for the moment. Talking used energy, and Andrew needed to focus his energy on pulling through. He placed his hands over the boy's wounds and let his healing powers do their job. He just hoped it would be enough to counter the dark magic that was used.
"Don't worry, just stay calm. Everything will be okay," Tulio said to Alpha-7, hoping he could put her at ease. His own palms started glowing and he moved to start working on her injuries. Although, he couldn't help but glance back at Aidan, hoping that his mentor could solve this problem. Time was of the essence here, and there wasn't much room for failure.

At first, Andrew expected for the wound exactly NOT to heal right as what the origins of Dainsleif would have say. But that was beyond expectation when he felt agonising pain, painful enough to make him having tears flowing from his eyes for it. The numb pain inside of him becomes seering and constrictive, he wanted to struggle, knowing that it's impossible to get healed by the Dainsleif wound. He couldn't at least endure the pain, it already took a toll of his own life anyway.
"N........N-no! P-p-p-please.....It hurts! It hurts! ARGH! Ahhhh!" Andrew sobbed as he tried to at least struggle, but he couldn't make himself budge. Instead, his own head was going from left and right, a symbolism that he was struggling from the pain he's feeling.

Alpha-7 backed away as Aidan started his work. She knew she needed to allow him space to operate, and the last thing she wanted was to be in the way. But, she still couldn't help but worry. The boy's wounds were severe, she had no way of knowing if he'd make it or not. She kept her eyes locked on them as Tulio approached her. At first, she paid him no mind, her thoughts still with the child. Just then, she felt a sharp pain in her arm, it was different from before. Alpha-7 winced as Tulio used his magic on her wound. She didn't say anything at first, this might've been part of the process, and did her best to bare the pain. Then, she heard the boy cry out, and her thoughts turned back to him.
"What's happening?" Alpha-7 asked in a worried tone, "Is he okay? What's going on?"

Aidan was hoping for this to turn out a little more positively, but it looked like that wasn't going to be the case. As soon as his healing powers started working on Andrew's wound, the boy started crying out in pain. "Just as I feared," Aidan muttered. He turned to Tulio and Alpha-7. "Healing powers won't do much good against a wound inflicted by dark magic. If we're going to get rid of this, we're going to need more magic."
Tulio bit his lip. He hated it when injuries were out of his and Aidan's hands. But, they couldn't cure everything, and there were some injuries that healing powers just couldn't fix. It looked like Alpha-7 could bare his healing powers a bit, but only because she hadn't been as injured. Andrew, on the other hand, was a whole other story. "So, what do we do?" Tulio asked.
"I can't heal this wound, but I can stop it from getting worse," Aidan replied. "I can buy us some time so we can find a skilled magic user, and then they can treat this fully."

Andrew's eyes went wide open, he could look down on his abdomen to see that it's painfully disturbing to see his own wound. Apart from the dried blood and open flesh, some black worm-like particles were clotting up almost looked an infection when it wasn't. It must have been the magic of Dainsleif, he was right when Aidan's magic being unable to completely heal him because of the cursed sword's magic. On one side, he's fine with that. But on the other side, he's gonna die. He began to feel numbness, not because of his wound but his emotions. It's the numb feeling that he's going to die no matter what, that he wants to die quickly to ease the emotional pain. Though, he would be worried if Kasturi or Chihiro would freak out when he's already dead and that could be sad.
"Granpa.....Aidan....." Andrew looked up "I.....don't want to.....die....Not yet...."

It was hard for Alpha-7 to keep still. She knew she needed to let Tulio do his work, but she felt a powerful urge to leap up and run right to where the boy lay. She may not have been a healer, but there must've been something she could do, anything would've been preferable to just sitting there. After hearing Aidan explain the boy's condition, she couldn't help but feel the weight on her chest intensify. Even the pain in her arm was nothing compared to what she felt in her heart. At that moment, it seemed like her past had caught up with her again.
Alpha-7 shut her eyes tight and punched the bed she sat on with her free hand, "Damn it!"

This was getting bad. Alpha-7 was getting frustrated and Andrew was getting worse. But Aidan knew he had to keep a level head. If he started panicking, Tulio would do the same, then everything would be chaos. He was a professional. He couldn't let this get to him, even though he was feeling very worried. "You're not gonna die here, kid. Not on my watch." He hoped he was speaking the truth there. He immediately set to work on getting some herbs together that could help numb Andrew's pain for a bit. If he could get the kid to drink some of them down, then it would make healing him a little bit easier.
"Easy, hold on, I'm almost done," Tulio said, trying to assure Alpha-7. He was pretty sure since her injury wasn't as bad, he could heal her pretty well tonight. She might need a few more treatments, just to make sure whatever little amount of dark magic had hit her was gone for good. He wished the same could be said for Andrew. But, his and Aidan's healing powers weren't enough to tackle that much dark magic.

~ “I thought I was fine with that, as long as I could save the world. But right now, I don’t want to disappear!” "Then let me save you! Elfnein! Please don't die yet!" ~
Andrew suddenly had the thought that this scenario happened before, it literally reminded him of his late sister's death. The difference was that she's sick, while he got wounded by a cursed sword. The little child wondered if everything he'd witnessed was one heck of a Deja Vu, he wished it was that but with the looks on how Aidan tried to treat his wound, it's real. Especially the constant flashes of Elfnein appearing on his face, he must have been hallucinating despite being wide awake.
He turned his head and faced the lady, Aidan, and the man who was helping the lady to get healed. He can see that the lady wasn't happy at all because of what happened to him. Pretty much ironic when she kept on saying that he'll be fine when he wasn't, but she kept on hoping anyway. A hope that he'll be alive in the end.
~ "Everything will be fine." "It's okay! It's gonna be okay!" ~
He could only gave the three his innocent smile. Even though they probably might be the people he'll last see them, at least he's being optimistic.
