(( My muse is a bitch TT_TT sorry, guys. this might suck nads. >~<' ))
Emily watched Dimitri as he spoke with them, seeing him get more and more tired with every passing moment. She sighed, somehow feeling like it was her fault, despite him telling her he didn't regret it. But that didn't make it any less of a thick-headed decision, on his part.
"No worries, Em. I won't pursue you anymore. I know when I'm not wanted."
Emily felt an emotional pang in her chest.
Of course you're wanted, she found herself thinking, but immediately willed that thought away with hidden alarm. She couldn't fall for him. As if it would work out, she thought immediately after, attempting to get herself away from any thoughts of any possibilities of a relationship with him. Or anyone, for that matter.
"...if I'm going to get involved with a guy, it'll be with someone that I can be friends with first, get to know, that sort of thing. I'm the kind of girl that...takes things slow."
Emily looked to Esmeralda, smiling slightly. She agreed with that, very much so. Not according to your make-out session with a certain someone~!the little nagging voice in her head said, and she nearly rolled her eyes.
That was a lapse in judgement, she told herself.
"So...I'm guessing both of you are virgins. Want to change that? Friendly basis of course - though, I'm sure Ezzy is too scared of the cooties."
Emily's head would have snapped off, had she been a skeleton, given how fast her head snapped back in Dimitri's direction. She looked a bit taken aback, until she noticed his joking face and tone. Then she relaxed a bit.
"I'll change that when I'm good and ready. If you have any type of cooties, it'd probably from biting your thumb so much," Esme had teased back.
Emily bit her lip slightly, looking away to think of a route in which she could say she wasn't without ruining the mood. It took a moment, before she sighed quietly.
"No, I'm not," she eventually replied to Dimitri, a rather dark-humor type of smile on her face, "I was married, remember? I had an obligation to my husband on our honeymoon."
She disguised her distaste for her own sarcastic, dark joke with a slight giggle.
I probably sound like a crazy person.
