Andrew was surprised, this was the first time the little child ever being asked to be friends with anyone! Most of the friends he befriended was because he was the one who spoke first, but this time a friend spoke first before him. This is amazing! So this is how it feels to be befriended by someone and not the other way around, he never felt this kind of happy before. In a second, Andrew reached out his hands to Charlie's paws and gripped them tight. He was having a hard time thinking of whatever he's going to say to Charlie, saying either yes or thank you isn't enough. He could answer with his innocent smile to Charlie, while holding the German Shepard's paws close.

Charlie was surprised at how Andrew responded to the offer of friendship. Not the answer, that was expected, but the paw holding. It wasn't where people usually touched dogs unless they were being taught to 'high-five' or 'shake' as a trick. Charlie didn't mind though, after all Andrew was new to this entire dog concept it seemed. "Mind loosening your grip a little on my paw Andrew?" He asked gently. "Dog paws are a little bit different than human hands. We're not used to that much pressure on them this way." He explained. "Hugs are alright though."

Andrew was confused on what Charlie said, did he hurt Charlie again? If he did, then it's getting pretty hard on what to do and what not to do to a Dog Angel like Charlie. He slowly laid Charlie's paws down on the ground gently as he looked away in shyness. He really regretted in not researching about animals enough, he maybe fragile but animals are too vulnerable than Humans, per say. And why a hug though? No wait, he's rephrasing that question, he doesn't know.
"Hug?" Andrew looked blankly from above, "What's hug?"

The German Shepard let out a small calming breath instead of growling in frustration. 'We've got a lot of work to do with this one.' He thought. Out loud he said. "Gently, put your arms around my shoulders so my head and neck are between your arms. And give a gentle squeeze." As soon as he said it he decided that it might be easier if he showed Andrew how to do a hug. "Here like this." He said as he reached his two front legs on the boy's shoulders. Carefully he gave the boy a hug before sitting back down waiting to see what Andrew would do.

From that time, Andrew was really nervous. He indirectly hurt Charlie and he's afraid that he's gonna hurt the dog angel again. He raised both of his hands, but they appeared to be stiff as they drew past to Charlie's shoulders and formed a seemingly awkward embrace. Andrew wasn't even that near to the German Shepherd's body in worries that the child might crush Charlie and hurt him again. And the hug didn't last long as Andrew swiftly let go of the hug as if like he's a ghost passing to Charlie for a mere second.
