"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Scarecrow replied. "Or, at least, the closest thing to a mom I've got." Him and Miss Bee-Bee certainly weren't like most traditional families, but that seemed to happen a bit in the supernatural world. "What about your mom? What's she like?"

"I actually never met my mother, I was raised by my father." Ellie explained, her smile softened. "He was the one who found the cirque, but he stopped traveling recently. He said he was homesick, so he left." She shrugged. It didn't bother her, she knew where he was and she'll write if she missed him.

"Oh. Sorry." That must have sucked for Ellie, not knowing who her mother was. But she seemed to be doing okay. At least she had her father to talk to, even if they were living apart from each other.

"It was a long time ago, it's fine." Ellie replied, holding her hands in front of her. "So, what part of the world are you from?" She asked, changing the conversation from that to something else. In hope of learning more about him.

"Oh, I'm from here, actually," Scarecrow replied. "Well, not 'here' here, but I was created in North America. Once Miss Bee-Bee and I went our separate ways, I traveled down south and met the circus in Rio. The rest is history, I guess." He gave a little laugh.

"Oh I see." Ellie replied, with a light chuckle along with his little laugh. "It must have been nice to live here, I almost find each country like a different planet. You must right at home here then?" She asked, trying to guess which one. She was think along the lines of one of the southern states. " Well, I'm from England." Ellie explained, gesturing as she spoke.

"I guess so. This does feel more familiar than Rio. Going there was like entering a different world." The place had almost seemed alien, what with the weather that was humid 99% of the time and the rain forests that housed tons of animals that Scarecrow had never seen before. It had been quite a treat. But, he was happy to be back on American soil for the moment. "Oh, cool. Did you live anywhere near London? I've seen pictures of that Big Ben clock tower and stuff. That thing is huge!"

Ellie nodded along as he spoke. "It might feel like at every stop the cirque takes, it always amazing to explore at much of it before we go again." She added, holding her hands behind her back. She couldn't find a position comfortable for them. "Oh, no. No I didn't actually, I lived in the south, about 5 minutes away from the new forest. It was so beautiful there too, there are plants everywhere. Even in the nearest city." She explained.

"Ooo, sounds pretty," Scarecrow said. "I feel like I prefer forests to cities anyway. Much quieter. And I'd probably cause a panic if I walked down the city streets like this. Then again, maybe they'll just think I'm wearing make-up. Who knows?" It was something to think about, to say the least.

Ellie chuckled as he finished. "A few people might look but they rarely ask." She explained. "I had a friend here who sewn together, I didn't ask too much about it. Whenever someone did ask her, she would either say she was going to a convention or just promoting the cirque. It normally works." She gestured as she spoke. "Maybe you could try it if you do go into the city." Ellie shrugged.

"Convention...you mean like one of those comic things?" Scarecrow asked. He had seen pictures of those online. People would go to these big buildings dressed up as their favorite characters from movies and TV shows and they would see celebrities talk about stuff. "That sounds like a good plan. I hear people go crazy over costumes at those things. Like, they have every tiny detail down. It's kind of amazing."

"Yes, that's the ones." Ellie nodded. "I've never been to one but it's a good cover, well almost. I can explain to people if they see me shifting." She bit her bottom lip while smiling. "Still, it's pretty funny to see people's reaction whenever you say you're going to a convention." Ellie nodded.

"Oh, you're a shape shifter? That's awesome," Scarecrow said, getting excited. "I've seen some of the other shifters do their stuff and it looks so cool. Can I see you shift? Please, please, please?"

"Sure. You might need to hold your hand out." Ellie nodded, pointing at his arms. "I'm pretty small, sometimes it's hard to see me." she explained. She waited until he did, she held onto him and shifted into her mouse form. Using her grip on him to hop onto his hand.

Scarecrow obeyed and held out his hand. He watched with interest as Jane shifted before his eyes and became a tiny little mouse. Luckily, she managed to stay on his hand instead of falling to the ground. "Whoa, that's cool," he said. "If you're a mouse shifter, does that mean you really like cheese like other mice?" He wondered how much of a mouse's mannerisms Jane had.
