"That doesn't mean it's not cool," Aisling said. "I love growing plants. Watch." She held her hand above the ground. A few flowers sprang up to join the ones King had made. She gave a grin.
"Looks like Aisling's found herself another plant lover," Aidan said with a laugh. He knew how much Aisling loved stuff like that. Most fairies were like that.

King smiled at her and then the flowers "Can you grow anything bigger?" He asked. King could grow bigger things, much bigger than the flower he had just grown, but he didn't want to show them at the moment, for fear of messing up the medical tent "What else can you do?"
Turning to Aidan, he smiled at him as well "It's nice to know that someone else can do it too."

"I can do trees...sort of," Aisling replied. "I can get them started, but they have to do the rest on their own." She couldn't make a full-grown oak tree just pop out the ground. But she could at least get it started as a sprout, and maybe help it along to reach the sapling stage.

"I can make giant vines and other flowers, I don't think I've ever tried trees, as stupid as that sounds." King smiled sheepishly "I'll have to try that sometime." King turned to Aidan "What about you? Can you do more than heal?" King hugged his pillow close, starting to float a few inches off the ground.

"That's about it, really," Aidan said, shrugging. "I've been able to do it ever since I was born. I was practically destined to be a healer from the start." That was how it had always been, for Aidan and his people. He had come from a place where those born with healing powers were destined to treat the sick and try to help people lead better lives. Aidan never imagined that he would be using his powers for a magical circus, but he felt like things were better this way. Here, he was never lonely like he used to be.

"Even if that's it, that's very useful." King smiled at them "And I imagine it can't be easy, so that's even more admirable." King looked at his hand. He was curious about what kind of healing Aidan could do "Can you heal only cuts or can you heal illness as well?" In his village, he didn't have any healers, and Aidan was the first he had met.

"Some, not all," Aidan replied. "I can deal with little things, like colds or fevers. Something like a virus or cancer, nope. Maybe there's some magic out there that can tackle difficult illnesses like that, but I can't." It sometimes disappointed Aidan, that he couldn't heal everything. He couldn't even really do anything about mental illnesses, like depression or bipolar-disorder. In some ways, his healing powers were kind of limited.

"For knowing only little things, it's still very helpful. I'm sure you've helped plenty of people here." He lightly smiled yawned "Sorry, I promise I'm not bored." King then thought of another question he wanted to ask "Oh, you said you joined the circus when it was in Ireland. If you don't mind me asking, why did you join?

Aidan and Aisling glanced at each other. Explaining why they joined here, it was a long story, and they didn't want to keep King here all day. Maybe they could give a short version instead.
"Well, Aidan found a healer that has practically the same powers he does," Aisling explained. "His name is Tulio. You might have seen him around here. Black hair, blue eyes, works here and as a clown during performances."
"Anyway, Tulio needed somebody to teach him how to use his powers to help people," Aidan continued. "He was kind of at a loss. So, Aisling and I joined the circus so we could teach him."

King smiled as he listened to their story "So you're his teacher? Interesting." King couldn't help but admire that the two had left their home to help a friend learn their talent "It's a better reason than mine. I only came to this place after a couple of kids told me about it." He shrugged, there was a lot more, but that was a gist of it. He then asked another question "One last question, and, again, you don't have to tell me, but do you guys ever miss your home?" King missed his own village like crazy, but there was no going back to it. But what about these two?

Aisling gave a little laugh. "Tulio's reason for joining is even crazier. He and his friend were Miguel were trying to steal something off of Facilier, so he decided not to call the cops unless they joined the circus. They agreed, and here they are." It was almost hard to imagine that Tulio once made a living being a thief. He was so different now. Instead of stealing stuff, he made people laugh and helped them when they were sick. It was almost like a total 180.
"Well, in a way, the circus is home now," Aidan replied after thinking over King's question. "A lot of other people feel the same. We're kind of connected, in a way. Facilier brought us all together, and now we have each other's backs."
"Of course, that doesn't mean we won't make a little trip to Ireland every once in a while," Aisling pointed out. "We're kind of connected to it too. I mean, we lived there for so many years. It's hard not to have at least some kind of feelings for the place you came from."

King's eyes widened. He had only spoken to Facilier once, and that was to ask about a job, and even with that, King figured that Facilier was one of the people you really didn't want to rob "Right now, I'm trying to figure out whether Tulio is insane or not." King joked "All joking aside, I'm glad he and his friend didn't get into any big trouble." When Aidan spoke of the cirque as a giant family, he smiled warmly "I understand what you mean. Ever since I've gotten here, it's felt more and more like home." After Aisling spoke, he nodded "I get what you mean..." He hugged his pillow impossibly tighter, feeling a pang of homesickness.

"Maybe a little. But he's got a good heart," Aidan said. "I can tell you that much." Tulio was practically like a son to him. Meeting him had been one of the best things that could have happened to him.
Aisling blinked, noticing that King was looking a little funny. "You okay?" she asked. "Is your cut hurting you?" Aidan had seemed to heal it pretty well. Maybe it still ached a little bit.

"That's good." King smiled. He could tell from how Aiden spoke that Tulio was close to him. When Aisling spoke, he turned to her "No no, my hand is fine. It's just that what you said about having feelings for your home, well, it hit close to home. Don't worry, I'll be fine." He assured her, not wanting to make it seem like she did something bad by saying it.

"Oh." Aisling wasn't sure if King wanted to say anymore about that subject. Things like home could be painful for some people. Heck, a lot of the circus members had run away from their former homes and had ended up here. It was a touchy subject for some.
