After eating lunch, Chihiro decided to rest on a bench where she could spot the main and the infirmary tents. Absolutely, this was her time to rest for the day until she opened her netbook.
"Hello Master! How's your day?" The AI, Alter Ego, greeted his master. The head on the screen exactly looked like his master, the eyes and even the hairstyle. Chihiro typed something on the keypad. "So far, so good. I'm getting used here already. The thing is, I still don't know how to save my father." Was all she could say err... type rather. She sighed a tiring one. How she wished that she already had plans to save her father, but, she remained stuck in working here. She couldn't find a way or lead how. And she was afraid her dad would die soon in the jail. That was the worst case scenario she could ever think. She met plenty of friends here, but she could not just drag them down to her problem. She wanted to make a move, however, her insecurities just made her stagnant.
Alter Ego noticed that his creator was sad and said, "Master, are you alright?" Alter Ego was the most-trusted that Chihiro had and it was simy because... He was created based on herself. That was why he was named, "Alter Ego". Chihiro's eyes were dwelling in tears again by remembering her Dad.

Yosuke wasn't sure how but he could sense the overwhelming sadness from quite a distance. Maybe his powers had been improving but it didn't matter too much, he wanted to make sure that whoever was sad was doing alright. He made his way from the mess hall to the tents, trying to locate the source of pain.
What he found was surprising. A girl and a computer. Was the computer talking to her? It didn't seem possible at first, then again things were always different here at the crique.
"Excuse me." Yosuke said politely. "Are you alright Miss?"

Chihiro let out a surprising squeak when hearing a voice behind. She seemed easily startled always which she almost slip the netbook on her hands. Thankfully she got a good grip on it. She turned behind to find the source of the voice and saw a young man, and asking her. Realizing that there were tears in her eyes, she wiped it and replacing a cheerful smile. "Uhm, yeah! I'm alright... Uhm... hello by the way. I'm a new member here in the cirque. Can I help you on something?" she asked immediately while concealing her sadness inside. She was a... bad liar, too since a tear escaped again on her left eye. "Oh dear..." she exclaimed on herself.

Yosuke titled his head to the side in confusion. She was lying that much was certain. He didn't blame her. He had been through that same fear when he first arrived, it wasn't easy getting used to the new feel of the Crique after leaving the safety of their own homes. He did his best to smile and try to not look too worried about her.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to be rude, I just kind of....sensed your sadness." he said, feeling rather awkward with that statement. If he had said that to anyone else other than people at the crique they would either think he was crazy or just being funny. "I know what its like to be the new kid."

"Eh?" Chihiro was the one now who was confused. Sense? Oh. She thought she had forgotten this was a cirque of all kinds. From the Ringmaster himself was an immortal wizard and King was a fairy. She just also met a witch named Kiki so... Chihiro just gave a warm smile, "It's okay. Don't feel so awkward with it... Let us just say... I'm slowly getting used to this kind of stuffs?" Chihiro said with a question. Well, it was not normal for a human to accept things like magic or what, but staying here for days made her feel home with it. "Ahh... Yeah I guess so..." she said from his last response. Now she felt ashamed by showing her tears from a stranger, even it was only... Let us just could say accident.
"Thank you for the concern anyway. I appreciate it." Chihiro smiled again, but her father entered her mind again. Without her awareness, her hands cooped her mouth and suddenly turned behind; her eyes were crying involuntary.

Yosuke looked about as awkward as he could get. What could he do to make her stop crying? Sing? He didn't have the courage to do something like that not without something to sing about. He could play an instrument, people always did say that his music seemed to connect with emotions, oh but he didn't have an instrument.
"Hey..." he hestitated before placing a hand on the girl's shoulder, and gave a small awkward smile. It was the best thing he could do. Sometimes just being there was the best thing he could do. "I know what its like to be the new kid, It took me awhile to get used to it too. There were a lot of...complications."
He didn't want to get into his life unless she asked. "You don't have to worry about being alone though, everyone here is family."

Chihiro felt a hand pat her shoulder. It simply alarmed her for a second but recovered easily. She wiped then again her tears and turned to see him again. "Uhm, sorry again. My tears are stubborn that's why they keep on falling..." she giggled forcefully. Her brows curled a bit when the young man seemed having inner noises on his own.
"Uhm... Complications?" she asked all of the sudden since she heard the thing about being "a new kid" from him. It just kindled her some curiosity with that.
She sighed softly. Chihiro was appreciating his concern. It was like when she met the others in the cirque. All was nice and friendly. True to his words, everyone was treating each others as family although they came from different races and places.
"Yep... Family is a good thing, isn't it?" she asked, with her heart getting lightened up from sadness. "My Dad said to me that family is a nice thing... and even nicer when you treat someone unrelated to you..."
Saying about her Dad just made her pinned her heart inwardly. She was missing him again.

Yosuke gave a small smile before it slowly turned to a frown. "You miss your dad huh?" he asked, concerned. He wondered how his own family was doing without him. He doubted that his dad really cared but his mom probably missed him. Chihiro was lucky to have a father who would give her such good advice.
"You and him must be really close."

Chihiro smiled brightly, "Yep... Yes, we are. Dad taught me everything that I know now. He raised me well ever since my mom died in an accident when I was 8. He stands both my dad and mom and even preparing my lunch when I'm going to school." She never noticed that she was saying too much on her personal life. Her voice was now enthusiastic when telling things about her dad, especially how he raised her.
"How about you? Are you also close with your dad?" she asked without any malice but only with pure curiosity.

Yosuke frowned a bit. "We were close once." he said simply, looking down at the ground for a moment. It wasn't easy to think about his family but it actually did help to get it out. "Until I got my powers. My family and I were that typical family that wasn't perfect but we cared about each other."
His mom would always give him a bit of extra money before he left for school in case he needed more lunch. His dad while he didn't show it always gave him a good job handshake after work. The boy looked at his hand for a moment before shaking his head.
"My power I guess you could have figured it out. I can connect with other people's emotions. I am an empath, at least that's what the ringmaster told me when I got here." He smiled weakly. "My dad didn't like that little bit of abnormality in the family, so I kind of left."
He turned to Chihiro and shook his head trying to focus on the good. "As bad as it was to leave my life, I am happier here and I am helping others be happy."

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that..." Chihiro felt downcast learning the young man's story. She kinda felt a little envious since... her mother died when she was still young. Setting aside, she knew also that there was no perfect family. Yosuke was right at that point, so she nodded in agreement.
Even how sad story it was, Yosuke seemed taking the good side. Chihiro liked his optimism, but she still frowned about going away. "I'm amazed that you are an 'empath'... Sorry if I pronounced it wrong though... It is my first time to hear that, sorry," she chuckled nervously, "Well... I guess your dad is just surprise when learning that you have a different ability... You know it is really shocking since only the chosen who have the understanding about supernatural like the members here and for the common people, it is what they call 'abnormality'."
Chihiro played her foot on the ground, writing something on the soil, "But I guess, your father is worrying about you now. Yes, he might not like your unusual ability, but, it doesn't mean that he doesn't like you anymore as a whole... You are still his son, so it will only take time for him to accept it. A father might be cold at you and don't accept you being an empath as of now... however, it is possible he will accept you sooner..." Chihiro retreated her foot as a doodle of two stick figures appeared. From her mind, it was her and her dad. "It won't change the fact that you are blood-related." she added.

Yosuke blinked a moment in surprise by Chihiro's wise words. He hadn't thought about his father's true intentions since the incident. Yosuke had only assumed that because he was different that his father didn't want anything to do with him. "Maybe you're right." he said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I hadn't thought about it that way before. Maybe i'll try to get in contact with him.' He had only written letters to his friends at school and his mother. Not his father. "You are pretty smart."

"Uhh... No...!" Chihiro flustered, being called as smart was making her feel uncomfortable. "Uhm... It is just a wild guess... Maybe I said that because my dad accepted me who I am... And... I have never seen my dad being angry at all or showing a mad face... Besides... I'm not smart... You know... I'm completely useless without a computer." She said, caressing her netbook. "Uhm... I guess it was worth it a try if you... contact your dad again..."

Yosuke gave a small smile at the flustered feeling. At least he was having a decent conversation without his powers getting in the way. "Well, you are way smarter than I am. I can only play games on computers, so you beat me on everything else there." He rubbed his neck.
"I guess having powers made me afraid to try to contact him again, I mean the worst thing he can do is not respond right?" He looked at Chihiro, wondering why she had coming to the crique in the first place? "Makes me wonder what would it be like if i hadn't had these powers if life had been less...complicated."

"Maybe we can play some video game sometime. I'm sure it will be fun," Chihiro smiled. At least, the atmosphere around them was getting a little lighter. And the more important thing, she managed to convince Yosuke to contact his father again, somehow.
"It is so nice to hear that... It is worth it a try, I guess... Nothing will be lost," she looked deeply to him. So... Yosuke seemed looking to his powers in the negative side, in other words... A curse. Chihiro was treating his talent on computers as curse, too. Kids with age like him was despising him because he was being so "smart" and that caused the other boys to bully him. "...Well, life is always been complicated. I guess it depends on us on how we will face it. Maybe we can see the different light on how and why all of these things happened. I'm using my computer to help others... even I don't know if I'm really helping others with it."
