After pretty much running out of jobs to do, Ellie found herself walking around trying to think of something to do. With her notebook held close to her chest, she bit her lip as she slowly started to lose herself in thought. Her heels tapped at the hard ground, in her slow pace. She started to think how she had been like this for the last few days, she didn't know why or how she ended up like this. It just happened, she wasn't normally like this. Was she worrying about something without knowing what something was? She didn't have a clue.

Scarecrow felt like he was staring to finally get the hang of things around here. He was liking the dance troupe and the people he had met so far. Coming here had been a great idea. The happy thought put a little pep in his step as he walked. He suddenly stopped though when he noticed a young woman nearby. It looked like she was thinking hard about something. Could she be lost? Or need help with something? Figuring he might as well try to find out, Scarecrow headed on over to her. "You okay, miss?" he asked.

Ellie jumped when she heard she was being addressed. She spun around to see the figure. "Oh, I'm fine." She replied, as she stopped moving. "I must have lost my track of time, at least." She mumbled to herself, looking away for the guy in front of her. "No matter." She shrugged, raising both arms as she did so before looking back. Ellie looked over the gentleman in front of her, smiling polity.

Surprisingly, the woman wasn't too startled by Scarecrow's appearance. Then again, most people at the circus weren't too fazed by him. Apparently, he wasn't the oddest thing they had come across. "Story of my life," he said with a laugh. "I probably lose track of time once every week. Maybe that comes with the territory when you have straw for brains."

Ellie chuckled with him. "It probably doesn't have anything to do with straw for brains. A lot of people do." She shrugged, slightly feeling nostalgic over the wizard of OZ with the way the conversation is. "I'm Ellie." She nodded, holding a hand to him as a handshake. "And yours is?" She asked, turning her head lightly to the side.

Scarecrow gave a little nod. The woman did have a point. Lots of people could be scatter-brained sometimes. "Oh, I'm Scarecrow," he said as he shook her hand. "And yeah, I know it's unoriginal. It's like naming a cat Cat or something." He gave another laugh.

"It's fine, Scarecrow. At nobody would forget it." Ellie shrugged, not really sure how to reply to that but at least she tried. She folded her arms in front of her, looking him over. "So, have been at the cirque long?" She asked, trying make conversation. Ellie had no more jobs to do that so she hoped it would be nice to make a friend.

"Not too long. Just a couple of weeks," Scarecrow replied. "Got put in the dance troupe and it's been a bit crazy getting adjusted to everything. But it's been really fun too. How about you?"

"I know how you feel, I was only 14 when I joined with dad. I work backstage and as a 'stunt' woman, sometimes if needed. Since I was younger, one of the acts uses me for old woman at the board stunt." Ellie explained, shrugging her shoulders. "Just come and find me if you have any troubles, well... everyone here is pretty much happy to help really." She added, almost sounding like a mumble.

"A stunt woman? Wow. Sounds pretty cool," Scarecrow said. "Everyone seems to have a pretty neat job around here. I met this other lady who was, like, security of some sorts, for the circus. And this other lizard woman who can do tricks with her tail and stuff."

"Yeah, only downside is that some days I do have to sew over the holes the knifes make." Ellie chuckled. "The dance troupe sounds a lot fun though, you must be a great dancer." She added, she found Scarecrow to be sweet. "Well, of course you could dance. You are in the dance troupe, and I'm rambling, aren't I?" She shrugged.

Scarecrow just gave a modest shrug. "I guess I'm good. Some of these dancers have been dancing all their lives though, you know? I've only been doing it for a few years. But hey, that means I can learn some cool stuff."

"A few years?" Ellie asked, leaning her head to the side. "When did you first start dancing? Well, learn to dance I mean." She added, straightening her head. She dropped her arms down to her sides.

"Oh, the witch that brought me to life taught me," Scarecrow explained. "She used to be quite the dancer herself back in the day, so she figured she could teach me so I had something to do besides scare crows all day."

Ellie nodded as Scarecrow explained. "So, she's like.... you mum?" She asked, placing her hand together behind her back. "She most be proud that you now dance for a living." She nodded.
